Allergy or cold?

Urgh, i can't decide if my dust mite allergy is flaring up or i am coming down with a cold. Is there any differences between the two lol???

Either way a shed load of anti histamines, paracetamol and whiskey is helping me through this hehe

Don't allergies irritate the eyes more than common colds?

Yeah, think so, i know in summer the grass makes my eyes itchy.

But with dust mites, im not sure if it makes your eyes itchy or not... Sucks to have allergies argh

Flat? Wot Wot! lol. Well, i was at my sisters last night and slept on her sofa and she gave me an old pillow (at least i think it was old). So i think it may have affected me, but considering i have been at home for the past 12 hours i would have thought if it was my dust mite allergy it would have calmed down by now??

The most obvious thing is that antihistamines aren't particularly effective against the common cold.

And if it persists long after exposure to the dust, it's a cold. Colds usually last 2-5 days and run their course.

Of course, there's always the flu...

How werid is this? I woke up thinging the EXACT same thing today. It was a toss up of benylin (for colds) and benadryl (allergies).

Im allergic to dogs (I have 3...) cats, dust. I get hay fever (sadly my mum has a love of fresh lillys... pollen and all), along with perennial rhinitis (constant runny/itchy nose, the most annoying thing ever!!!)

I try to keep my room overly clean, but always wake up with a blocked nose.

The only reason I knew to take bendryl today is because I woke up to my dog barking to get out of my room. She can open doors and sleeps on my floor (although I have awoken many times to her laying next to me with her head on my pillow... thats scary).

My dust allergy makes my eyes sooooooooooooooo itchy, so if you dont have it, maybe its a cold coming on. Its cold and flu season, so would expect it.

Damp, mould (is it mold?), overly dusty, pollon, animals?

With the cold weather, and condensation, you might find patches of mold appearing on either the visible ceiling near exterior walls or on the walls, window frames or any area where condensation would collect. This moisture allows mould spores to grow into patches of mould which can in turn release more spores which can irritate your mucous linings or give you an allergic reaction. Check the areas mentioned, and get them cleaned.

Run a white coloured tissue over the surface of the window glass and if you see muck, might be worth a wash or wipe down. The frame also.

I get alot of condensation because I have huge bay windows in my bedroom. Should I squeeqy them and dry them everyday?

I bloody bet thats what makes me so bad. Its the one thing I havnt thought about.
