Am I a Classical Liberal?

You lie. See Kallipolis #78 above. Google corporate "inversion".

Taxes only even come into play with a corporation filing a profit. Taxes only become substantial if a corporation is making an enormous amount of profit.

Meanwhile corporations claim they "can't afford to be here" because labor costs too much, minimum wage is too high, etc. etc. How is that so if they're making so much profit that taxes are so onerous they are "forced" to flee the country?

You do not get the argument both ways.

As always, you miss the point. Regulations are designed to make profits difficult AND to confiscate much of any profit which does occur. There can be more than one reason to escape. And the bigger point is that all these difficulties prove that corporations do not run the government which is hostile to them.

You cannot say "corporations face so much in profit taxation they must leave" and "corporations have so little money they can't pay people properly" at the same time. Yet that is precisely what you and the right-wing are selling to everybody.

Some do, some do not make profits. None run the country.

Oh really?

Care to list the majority of politicians who owe their election to no corporate interests?
I take it he's never been to OpenSecrets or the Sunlight Foundation's websites. And doesn't pay attention to which PACs pay for ads for/against candidates.

It is safe to assume that all recieve money from working people, so, by your logic, working people run the country. Welffare people donate dome money, so wellfare people run the country. Minorities donate and run the country, run the country. Housewives donate and run the country.
Labor unions and trial lawyers are among the biggest donators, so.....

Of course, marxists, liberals, socialists want to exclude advocates of free enterprise from the media, giving their own captive media a free hand and moving the country toward the one party marxist state they want.

As we've previously discussed, that's as close as linking fascists and conservatives in the same sentence. A false equivalency.

Companies like Costco are both successful and well regarded by liberal voters. Contrast that with Walmart.

Some people celebrate selfish role models, other people celebrate unselfish role models.

There is no FREE media. It's ALL owned by FIVE corporations. Tell me HOW that is supposed to be FREE.

You don't understand what i said and i doubt if i can explain it so that you will.

Go back and try to understand what I said at #90.

We understand very clearly that what you want is a corporatocracy. That has been made patently clear through years of repetitive, redundant posts. And you sideswipe 100% of all ills created by corporate greed, excess or undue influence as being to blame on Mexican immigrants.

I don't think you can determine the difference between anti-competitive cartels and free enterprise.

You do realise that the media themselves are dominated by private corporations, right?
The world's top ten media corps earned between 10 and 50 billion in revenue each last year. They're not in it for charity.

How did you ever pass second grade? You obviously can't do simple arithmetic.

Show me one random housewife who can pick up the phone and ask to meet her U.S. senator for lunch and it will get scheduled promptly.

That's a good point. The understanding of a free press among the Founding Fathers was where every town had competing newspapers, not one where a few giants dominated the landscape.

The accumulation of wealth sufficient to manipulate and coerce the behavior of others is contrary to liberty. Actual republicans understand that, because historically a heavy concentration of wealth has always killed republics.
