Like NotHardUp1, I cannot grow a decent beard - I've tried over the years.
I can grow a mustache and have had one for somewhere around 40 years.

I'm not just talking about it in a sexual sense. I think it's gross no matter what. To me, it just means the guy is too lazy to trim. And studies show that most beards have fecal matter on them.

A good beard is harder to take care of than a bare face.

Though not too many guys take care of their beards that well. Among those who do, and take the trouble to find the right style for their face, a beard can be very good-looking.

A friend of mine did Movember, and he ended up with a Lenin beard that suits his face quite nicely. He just needs to trim the scraggly bits that grow on the sides.

That's one I would call gross. Like I said, I dig the short, stylized, well-kept version. This is all that, but three days later. And some guys don't maintain it for a week. Growing a beard is not the same thing as simply not shaving.
