NO. My parents took their cat motorhome shopping and bought the one the cat liked... no lie. Then they named the thing after the cat and also got vanity plates with the cats name on it. Again, I'm not making this stuff up.

Well done! These are your babies, enjoy them while you have them and give them everything you think they deserve because they give you so much already. I would do the same for mine. Congrats!

These are new things you've introduced to them. Just be patient. Cats are very 'wary' creatures. You'll be surprised at how they take to these things in a very short time.

I bought my cats some things today. I hope I am not spoiling my cats.

1. 7 foot scratching post- reaches the ceiling

2. toys and more toys

3. 2 separate beds

When I got mine, she got all that (except the tower)
and she only cared for these, which by the way were the cheapest. That is all she gets now, and she is very happy.

place the scratching post near where you sit and they will use it to claim their territory.

All a cat needs is a piece of string and an owner to pull it, and they will be happy forever. No need for fancy stuff.

Why don't you want your cats to sleep with you?

If you don't want them to sleep with you, close the door.

I can't begin to tell you how much money I've spent on cat toys and all the other cat trappings. In the end, they get more enjoyment out of a ball of aluminum foil and will bat and chase it around the house all day long while the toys I bought (similar to yours) lay dormant and ignored. Go figure!

Remember too that many cat (and dog) toys, and even food, are marketed to PEOPLE, not to the animal. You buy it because YOU think it's pretty, cute, looks tasty or looks cool. The cat or dog really don't care. That is the essence of the mega-million dollar pet marketing business. Food is food. A toy is a toy. They may get used to, or like, this or that because you make them get used to it. By nature, a cat is a predator and a dog is a pack animal. Period.

And I don't wan them to sleep on my bed, because one sheds a lot of hair. I am combing him everyday.

Part of having pets is dealing with what you don't like, along with the joy the of unconditional love! You chose to bring these cats into your life and your home, now you have to accept the good with the bad. Just let them shed on your bed! And at the same time, enjoy the love they give you back!

I know. They are sleeping in my bed right now. I am afraid of rolling over and killing them while I sleep.

Oh, don't worry about that! My cat used to know how I slept. They will get out of the way, believe me.
