I agree with you on one thing ringu20, straight porn is all over the map. The variety is amazing but I have an opinion about that.

Straight porn seems "situational", it gets it's fuel from scenarios and especially from implausible storylines. By contrast, male4male porn seems less varied but only in a superficial way. All male porn gets its fuel intrinsically from the performers themselves. The male animal is the turn on, not the "mind-play" of a scenario. At least that's how I view it.
