Amazing Race 11: All*Stars

Well, Eric and Danielle won it. I really didn't want Dustin and Candice or Charla and Myrna to win. I actually wanted Uchenna and Joyce or Dave and Mary to win, and when it was down to the 4, I wished Oswald and Danny would have made the final 3. It was a fair season overall, I think, but nothing can ever compare to the first season I watched, Season 7 which Uchenna and Joyce and Rob and Amba were in originally.

I never really liked Charla and Mirna but I warmed up to them in the end. But all in all I think it was good the Eric and Danielle won. Danielle and Jeremy totally should've one their season. They got completely screwed over by the fact BJ (or Tyler) happened to speak Japanese and that allowed them to make up SO much time. IT was just stupid I think. I realize you're gonna get lucky like that now and then but the last leg producers? really? I'm sure you know in advance what language everyone speaks.
 
Worst.ending.ever

I'm normally on the edge of my seat as they race to the final mat. The fact that TPTB let a non-team compete in the first place is an insult to all the other teams in the show's history that weren't considered for that 11th spot.

And that roadblock in the Mint in San Fran? Have the producers completely run out of ideas? That was stolen directiy from the challenge that Cassandra won on Survivor (and Cirie won in her season) and would have been better used on The Newlywed Game. Geez.
 
Yeah...the finale wasn't barely suspensful. Usually I am gripping my chair with anticpation. Glad that Eric and Danielle won!
 
I was happy for Eric and Danielle. At least it saved their relationship. Doubt that it would continue if they were to lose.

I was sad for the Beauty Queens. I love them. No quarreling, well except for the last episode. Ain't that cool? Too bad. Wished they won.
 
This finale was rather anticlimactic.

Eric and Danielle deserved the win...really any of the final 3 couples would have deserved it. (Would have preferred if Danny and Oswald were the winners but...) I liked them all but I was kinda rooting for Mirna and Shmirna ;). They were the true underdogs... abrasive, sneaky...but quite humorous in their interactions with each other. All the yelling between them was comical...and I got the impression that was how they spoke to each other with no offense intended. A few episodes ago when Charla was in the armor suit and she tipped over...:rotflmao:
 
it was anti-climatic but what more could they do. I mean they guaranteed that they were at most ten minutes apart

The season with Uchena and Joyce was definitely the most suspenseful when they could see the finish line but didn't have enough to pay the taxi... I woulda just fuckin' ran for it screw paying the taxi... lol

Yeah I had to laugh at that myself. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: And what was it with them and accents. Do they really think adding an accent to their English in a Foreign country helps the people to understand?

yeh...too many opportunities for all to catch up to each other...planes to Honolulu and helicopters...sign in and then scheduled 10 minutes apart. The challenge wasn't even too difficult either. Seemed like they wanted a footrace at the end between the Beauty Queens and E & D. Mirna and Shmirna couldn't out run either of them...but got delayed having to wait for the helicopter..that's when the others caught up.

I wonder if somewhere in the rules said they must pay the cabbie before they could legitimately win...only reason I can think why they scrambled for cash at the end like that. They still won though, right? I'm not one to remember seasons past...that was when Rob and Amber had a significant lead and then got screwed up at the airport, or something like that? :confused: (doesn't really matter)

:rotflmao: I know...Mirna actually said that...wtf? She was a character all right...what a hoot! For an educated woman...(attorney?)...she really wasn't too bright at times. :lol:
 
Really? The Charla tipped over thing was funny? I was horrified for her. Don't know this, but I don't think laughing at one's problem with difficulty is funny. I felt bad for her.

I don't know if there's a rule because I remember a few seasons ago one of theams almost got jailed in Africa for not paying and yes Uchena and Joyce did win.

That was Colin who almost got jailed for refusing to pay full cab fare.

You are required to follow all local rules during the race which would include paying the cabdriver which is why U & J had to beg for the money before they could go and cross the finish line.
 
I was very happy to see Eric and Danielle win. I rooted for them from the start.

And Jeremy's comment to Eric on the phone at the end.... uh, wow.... :rolleyes:

And I think that it was the funniest think seeing Charla falling over and going "ooooooohhh" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Me and my Mum were laughing sooooo hard. She is so funny, to watch.
 
Charla and Mirna are my favorite team. Both seasons they have been on were very entertaining. Dustin/Kandice, Danny/Oswald were cool as well. Romber overrated! I hate that a non-team won. Had it been Jeremy and Eric then the outcome would have been fine. They were great racers on their season.

Geez, Jeremy was about the biggest tool I've ever seen on the show. Having to deal with him for another season would have been cringe-worthy.
 
Just read Eric's interview in the local paper. It seems that he had already broke up with Danielle. It was said that they had already broke up during the run itself, and they did not speak to one another for weeks since the last run. But now, they are ok with one another, in their own single status.

Eric, single again? Hmm.. Going back to Jeremy?
