Where are the jobs, Mr Boehner?

Since your Republican plans will destroy nearly 1 million American jobs, it appears the Democrats will have to do the work you talked about during the elections.

Many Republicans were against the bridge loans to General Motors and Chrysler and wanted them to fail but thanks to President Obama, those high paying manufacturing jobs have been saved.

The United Auto Workers are reporting nearly full employment in the auto industry.

General Motors and Chrysler jobs in America have been saved. Thank you President Obama.

OFA: GOP budget could mean loss of nearly one million jobs

It's an integrated North American auto industry. Canada paid too:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/auto-bailout-costs-soar/article1156756/ from 2009
Canada's contribution to the bailout of two Detroit auto makers could soar to more than $13-billion with the increasing need for cash by General Motors Corp., which has moved a giant step closer to filing for bankruptcy protection.

I'm expecting to see full production in Canadian plants related to these companies too.

Looks like Canada lost ground that hasn't come back yet:

This is good news! We haven't been hearing good news lately so it's great to discuss this. The domestic auto industry has been saved along with all the jobs.

That's where the jobs are, Mr Boehner, no thanks to you.

I'm sure the Republicans will be claiming credit for all the automotive jobs come election time.

they are still campaigning against bailouts. They will try to bring down the auto industry before the election.

You may think thats an odd thing to predict, but I think they will try to do it. They are sabotaging jobs accross the nation with these innitiatives of theirs.

They have economists who advise them. They understand that to get power the nation must fail. They are willing to bring us all down for their cause.

I believe this in my heart of hearts. There is no one they will not sacrifice in exchange for a bit of unbridled power.

IF we look at the republican governors model as a current republican approach to executive office management... we are going to see americas economy strip mined for the wealthy as the sick and elderly poor are left to die do to medi-CADE ;) cuts.

A new republican president at this point will act just as walker and fatboy christie have done. Take from the poor and give to the people they took bribes from.

No thanks to the de facto chairman of the Republican Party, the obese, drug-sodden windbag who urged everyone not to buy American cars.* Some patriot!

Why do Republicans hate America? Why are they trying to destroy industry and the middle class? These are manufacturing jobs with good wages and benefits.

Oh wait, they're union jobs.

*shudder*

Looking at BP's allegation of intentional destruction of the economy, if one doesn't want to believe that, what are the options? I see only two: one, they're so addled by their ideology that they just don't care so long as their ideology gets enforced, or two, they're just plain stupid.

Speaking of people needing to be out of jobs, specifically Republicans, I remember this narcissistic blow-hard around here that swore up and down that there was nothing better for America than divided government--- but seeing how things are going I'm thinking that guy didn't know jack shit.

It's kind of like the Laffer Curve: something they want to be true all the time, but which prevails only in a narrow set of circumstances.

Like, the economy was strong, unemployment was under 2%, we had a positive balance of trade, all our troops were home except a few thousand stationed in the territory of allies, crime was at historic lows... government divided to the point of gridlock would be a good thing, because then politicians couldn't meddle and screw things up.

Now, let's see how many of those conditions we currently meet: nope, nope, nope, nope, nope....

Sorry -- we need a government that can work together intelligently, FOR THE PEOPLE and not for special interests.
