Re: Favorite American Idol winners ever.....

um..Carrie probably isn't known worldwide because she is a country artist. Country music is an American thing, and not many other countries are tuned into this genre of music. This being said, I think that Carrie is probably my favorite AI winner. Kelly is very close though.

Re: American Idol Swan Song!!

what about bad day by Daniel powter,i hate that song just for listening every week.

Re: American Idol Swan Song!!

Yes Daniel Powter's Bad Day was even better then Rueben's, but I guess"Home" really hit the spot. Thanks for posting Wrestling Lover

Re: American Idol Swan Song!!

Rueben can't seem to catch a break.

Re: American Idol Swan Song!!

Thanks for opening this thread. Ruben Studdard is a fat piece of shit who can't open a phonebook without breaking a head full of sweat. I hate him. He's done nothing for that show

Re: American Idol Swan Song!!

I suspect they were just throwing Ruben a bone since he's never found mainstream success.

Re: "American Idol" Finale Week: David vs. David!

I'm glad David Cook won. He's a much better singer and more experience than David Archuleta. He's also going to be more commercially successful as a recording artist. I predict he'll be as big as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, and Chris Daughtry. I think the show has gotten boring. This year, contrary to what the judges have reiterated, has not been the best year in terms of talent. They have had more talent in past years.

Re: American Idol: Who Sang It Better/Performances

Well, David Cook did better on that song. But not by much considering the other two were complete trainwrecks!

Here are some of my favorites from AI:

Carly Smithson-Here You Come Again

Syesha Mercado-If I Were Your Woman

RJ Helton-Lately

Elizabeth Letendre-The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

I know you said only American Idol but I'm gonna through in some international Idols as well!

Jessica Mauboy-Words (Australian Idol)

Cosima De Vito-When The War Is Over (Australian Idol)

Boris Titulaer-What's Going On (Dutch Idol)

Matt Corby-The Blower's Daughter (Australian Idol)

Natalie Gauci-Man In The Mirror (Australian Idol)

Re: American Idol: Who Sang It Better/Performances

How can you mention Tasia and not include this:

or this:

Re: American Idol: Who Sang It Better/Performances

Syesha completely owned both of them on that one! I love Paris' jazzy side but I think Syesha took it to a different level. She didn't belt it out. It was a much more sultry, sensual performance. I'd rank them:

1-Syesha
2-Paris
3-Nick

Re: American Idol: Who Sang It Better/Performances

I think Melinda was the greatest contestant ever. She really had it all. Like here for instance:
