I don't take this show seriously. I either vote for the VFTW pick or, if I truly hate the VFTW pick, which was the case last year because EVERYONE on AI9 sucked, I don't vote at all. It's not like Haley lost my votes to Jacob last night because if I didn't vote for Jacob as the VFTW pick, I wouldn't have voted for anyone.

I'm just glad Haley is getting even more support, cuz she's gonna need it next week. All signs point to the Production/Judge train (with Scotty/Lauren/James onboard) steamrolling over Haley at F4. And you know they're gonna do everything they can to tank her.

They'll probably trot out everything they've already done to her and pile it on in one night: faint/bad praise ONLY for her, bad video package, no charming interviews, finger-wagging from Ryan, a tongue-lashing from Jimmy, pushing her to choose a bad song, more mic problems etc.

Slipintothefog explained VFTW a few weeks back in a way that made sense to me even if I don't always agree with their picks. Haley is a perfect pick for them not because she's bad but because she's 1) entertaining and 2) absolutely not what the show wants. So it makes sense for Worsters to support her because it would be flipping the biggest bird to Idol this season.

And as riled up as I get from time to time, no one should ever really take this show seriously.

VFTW enjoys getting the "fantards" and "sparkle cows" all riled up and getting reactions from them (not implying you are one of them .) Hate posts and emails they get on the site from the super fans are some of the best laughs. Some of those fans are just bat shit crazy.

Honestly though...I don't think VFTW has the numbers or influence that they initially did. The novelty of it, like the show itself, is dying down. Still though, for me, they make that cheeseballfest of a show more tolerable to watch...so I can laugh at it. And, some of those worsters are incredibly funny!

VFTW is just an increasingly lame, pointless site now. The site used to be about voting for the worst or most entertaining or quirkiest contestant. It was a kind of funny until they became obsessed with bashing contestants and fans. They make racist, sexist, homophobic comments for kicks and giggles. And I find it sad that three of the five main site runners are gay males. In fact, a lot of posters on that site are gay males. Seeing how the gay men can be more bigoted than their straight counterparts, I should not be surprised with how non-accepting some gay men are of people who are different than they are. Reminds me of some of these people who have " NOH8" on their avatars, who then spend a lot of time spewing hate on twitter.

I can't stand the obsession VFTW people have with the ages and appearances of Idol fans. It's pathetic. More than 60 percent of American adults are overweight these days, should we start calling all Americans "Cows"? If you watch the show, then just get over the fact the middle-aged women are the most common demographics that vote. That's why popular male Idols such as Clay, Bo, Taylor, Daughtry, Cook, Adam has had a rabid female fanbase.

VFTW liked Jennifer Hudson because she was the underdog. They hate Fantasia(they call her "Mantasia") and they are bitter about the fact that she won Idol and that her albums sold better than JHud's. They think anything that is positive about JHud is negative about Fantasia, so they constantly bring up JHud when they disparage Fantasia.

The creator likes them only because he thinks they're"trainwrecks". He has written many articles that disparage Fantasia. Her thread is so filled with insulting comments.

Er, It was a young gay male fan who tossed the toy that lookd like dildo at Adam, and it happened at the show in Canada. A fanbase is made up of individuals and I find the broad brush painting of fans to be tiresome. I don't like some OTT fans but I am one who doesn’t judge the whole by the few and I wish others would do the same.

I looked (not very thoroughly though)...didn't see anyone say Casey has young hip fans. Really not many fans at all since twice he was eliminated. Besides...that vid you posted was from the Today Show. That segment was shot between 7 am and 9 am on a Friday (or weekday) morning when any potential young fans would have been in school, working, etc. If it was the day after her was voted off, there wasn't even much notice that he'd even be there if any potential fans did want to see him. I'd bet dollars for donuts that the vast majority of those people in the plaza would've been there no matter who the guest in that spot was. Many of those people are probably on vacation in NYC. You can't look at that segment as an indication of who Casey's fans are (if he has any)

Personally..I kind of liked him..more than any of the others (but that's not saying much, really.) He was rough around the edges for sure, but he was different and entertaining. I wouldn't spend a nickel on any of his music...none of the others though either.

VFTW is desperate becacuse they realize their influnece, whatever it may have been, continues to fall.

They spend time insulting those performing, insulting everyone from Carol King to Jared Leto, insulting fans of the contestants, and acting like everything that happens proves their points about Idol.

I get not liking how they perform, but I will never get behind the personal insults. That is unnecessary. They don't just poke fun, they outright insult and do so endlessly.

And here we go. James starts off the show quite well, and I couldn't help but notice how he has improved over the season despite the judges' complete inability to provide constructive criticism.

They all love it, Randy fires off some name dropping.

Also: VFTW has already started the insults on James based on a story in a tabloid.


Haley picks a song that just doesn't fit her and comes off very rough. It doesn't showcase her the way she needs and when Randy tries to explain what went wrong, Haley talks back.

She sings well, for what she has, but it simply did not suit her voice and now really isn't the time for that to happen. This wasn't her best song choice.

Steve, naturally, says the others are wrong and she was great.
