Oh, Danny was definitely arrogant, LoL. I was talking about the final two though. Out of Kris and Adam, Kris was definitely the more "likable" contestant. I really believe that's why he won. Adam was the superior vocalist, but people simply liked Kris more. Ditto that for Crystal vs. Lee.
 
I totally don't agree with you Salemite. I don't think Haley has come across as a bitch at ALL this season (not including last night/the past few weeks when she's gotten upset with the judges) I think she's come across as really funny and laid back...but everyone reads people differently so who knows what everyone else thinks of her.

I'm shocked anyone could think that.

I mean, it was less earlier on, but most certainly there.

You can be funny and laid back and still be a bitch. Mood swings take less than a second and being a bitch doesn't always require effort or anger.

As for the mention of Lauren crying - I still remember Thia. They praised her and she still cried a little.

Why people are so sure Lauren is putting on an act is beyond me. As is the consistent slamming of her and Scotty and their vocal ability based on something other than their singing. They have likeability, Haley lacks it.

Haley is an excellent vocalist in need of more training than any of the other 3 remaining. She's never been consistent and she's been one of the least likeable.

James has improved and come into his own, even though VFTW is only capable of continuing their hate of Adam Lambert and his fans using James as comparison. James has learned much about control and song choice.

Scotty and Lauren have truly come to understand how to win this. Their song choices are 90% of the time perfect for futhering their progress and strengthening their fanbases. And here's the part no one wants to admit - they can sing!

You can be upset, you can try to throw more VFTW crap, and it won't change the facts as laid out by American Idol.
 
I think if Haley were a bitch she would have been way more defiant to Randy and would have done it way early than last night after weeks of being the only contestant this season who gets criticism. When Randy was blathering on about how Haley "didn't know who she was" a few weeks ago, she responded to him in an almost apologetic tone with things like "Why won't somebody tell me? I think I know who I am," etc.
 
Right off the bat, Ryan kicks me in the teeth: "Lauren is in the Top 3!"

Boy, they're really laying the filler on thick tonight. Two contestant performances, three other performances and a music video premiere. Just get on with sending Haley home already.

I hate James had to be lost for it, but if it means two seconds without complaining that Haley isn't going to make it because of unfair treatment, I suppose it is worth it.

FUCK YES!!!! Haley is safe! God that almost makes up for Lauren Alaina getting in! Gotta give my buddy Salemite credit for totally calling James' exit too!

Fuck this show for making me watch again next week. LOL.

Although the cynical side of me thinks they're gonna pull some bullshit like, "We've decided you're all safe this week so you all get the hometown visits!"
 
Congratulations. You predicited the latest in a string of mistakes in an error of a season.

Boot James to keep Haley, Lauren, and Scotty. As if the show needed to get even more boring.
 
AFAIC the only real talent left is Haley. Those 2 tweens from the deep south, are you kidding me with this season of missteps and bumbling boobs. If a performer is scared of different as Scotty was or afraid of America thinking she is evil because she is singing an Elvis song , well hell, I don't know what to think.

James is probably gone because of the bad press the other day.

They are looking for talent are they not?
 
I just want to say that Haley singing "I who have nothing" was one of the highlights of Idol period.
 
Did anyone notice that while Scotty and Lauren were watching James perform, both of them looking sad/upset, Haley just stood there staring down, looking completely disinterested as she grinned to herself like the cat that ate the canary?

Not that she doesn't have a right to be happy, but it's things like that that make me think she's probably a total bitch, LoL.
 
What I see, is that this just set Scotty Lauren up for the finals.

James was much tougher competition to them than Haley. He was consistent, she doesn't know what that means.

Having multiple songs lessens consistency as a factor, but not fanbase and Scotty's has only gotten stronger, as will Lauren's seeing that she now has a girl to contend with for a top 2 spot.

And if you are right on the anti-Haley conspiracy theory, then the producers won't just throw her under the bus next week - they'll take her body and run it through a meat grinder after the bus is through. Then for good measure they'll torch what remains at the highest possible heat.

So I guess you might want to rethink that commonly disproven conspiracy.

I noticed myself. These sorts of things are what you pick up on when adding in the likeability factor.

Though, she's got to be smart enough to realize that knocking out James leaves her in one absolutely dismal position.
 
Kigan, I didn't care for James these past few weeks -- and I'm just happy Haley made it -- but truth be told, I'd MUCH rather have seen Lauren (or Scotty) go instead.
