'American Idol' Season 12

I gotta say, though, that Amber's Power of Love was the highlight for me tonight and then it tempered off into kinda blah. Then there was Angie doing Cry Me a River and she hit high notes in all the wrong places and her emotional range is about river bottom. Candice did great vocal work but the songs didn't do it for me. She is my favorite of the group. And why doesn't Minaj just go onstage and suck some Amber pussy? And still I just don't like Kree.

So do we all agree that the weird timetable + the surprise Ryan hinted at = no elimination tomorrow? If that's the case, I bet they put Kree and Candice in the Bottom 2 just for the hell of it.

Or will they just do a bullshit Idol Gives Back next week? Probably something for Boston. You know, just to up the cloying meter and to make sure no unfair advantage for the donkey-faced cunt goes unexploited.

They have to have a non-elimination week eventually because the show is scheduled to go until May 16 and they have only four singers left. It wasn't the fact that the save went unused than that they randomly had only a top ten instead of a top... eleven, I guess, to make the schedule work out? This year's format was strange.

Have you heard the rumors that they not only plan on dropping Mariah after this season (duh, though the rumor that they wanted to replace her for the remainder of this season with J-Lo seems implausible on so many levels) but that they also plan on dropping Nikki Minaj because -- get this -- the old lady biddies who watch this show in the heartland (gag) find her "too aggressive?"

I swear to god if they get rid of the best judge since Simon and keep fucking Randy around for another season, I will send some ricin to Nigel Lythgoe.

For me, Amber sings technically well 95% of the time, but she makes me feel something 0% of the time. I realize that's subjective, but I just don't believe her at all when she sings, even though I can tell she's hitting all her notes etc. She doesn't have that raw gift Candice has to just KNOW when to emote in a song. Kree knew how to do that too back in Vegas when she sang "Up to the Mountain" but I swear to god she hasn't done anything since then to reproduce the power and sincerity of that moment. Obviously Candice is the best of this group because even when she picks deadly dull songs (When You fucking Believe last week, really Candice? Fucking David Archuleta did that song, it's so lame) she manages to put her own stamp on it, and I always ALWAYS believe her. Plus she's had the most creative rearrangements this season even though they don't give her credit for that because she's not a "singer-songwriter" or a dude-with-a-guitar.

Angie of course is just the absolute worst. Fake emotions, sharp delivery, hitting her notes 75% of the time, burning her crazy-eyes into the camera like it means passion...she's not untalented but she's easily fourth in this group. And personality wise, I hate her at Lauren Alaina level.

Oh yeah. Whenever I'm brave enough to peek at the comments section on any Yahoo! article about Idol, there's inevitably an entire page of hate comments toward Nicki for being rude, not being able to sing, ruining the show with her presence, etc. In reality she's just 2raw2real for the jellis haters.

Also I'm glad you mentioned the old lady viewers because it reminded me of the rating demographics I saw a few weeks ago. This show has such an older audience at this point that it gets around 12 million viewers each week and only about 3 million of them are within the 18-49 demographic. I always knew the influence of the younger crowd was overstated for the recent seasons, but wow.

Last night's show should serve as proof that Candice is not a idol. What could America possibly expect from her in the odd chance that she wins the show? Church-esque songs and lounge-esque performances?

Ten out of ten out of ten!

More fuzzy Math from Randy Jackson.

Tonight...

Personally, I felt that the contestants sang some songs.

So how about that Keith Urban? Is it just me or is he way...

Three things:

1. Candice OWNED the night again with her second performance. Not that it will prevent her from going out in third place.

2. At least if Amber goes tomorrow we won't have to watch the judges embarrass themselves anymore by pretending she's a) great b) a star in the making and c) anywhere near the level of Candice or Kree.

3. I just FFwd through the donkey faced cunt.

Well at least "America" had the good sense to dump Amber. Now will they have the good sense to dump Angie next week? Or will Candace get the boot making it an all-white finale? Did I really have to ask that question?

Candice does own her music and her style and delivers every single time. Angie is so bust with me for her fake looks and demeanor. I just don't like Kree as a person, as a singer. She can sing but never moves me.

Now I read this morning that Idol had only 11.5 mil viewers, a steady decline all season. The Voice and NCIS beat them. I think they shot themselves in the ass by going after a girl all the way, eliminating the boys who might possibly have a chance before the top 20 was announced, though I did like Burnell. The 18-49 group is almost gone altogether. Why? There is no guy factor. Idol producers want a female because they most likely will sell records but females don't sell the tv show. They rarely ever have. Idol is so desperate they begged J-Lo to perform at the finale. Notice how they are inviting all the guys who have been reasonable effective market makers back on elimination night.

For some reason, I didn't even think about this (probably because I always put the results show on mute until the last five minutes) but that's a good call joesman! They're definitely trying to lure back the tweens and cougars all, "Hey look! It's that cute white guy with a guitar you voted for! And another one! And another one! Please watch!"

I'm of the opinion that the judges & producers rigged it so a girl would win,
I've quit watching this season, I'll try it next season!!!!!!!!!!

It obviously was rigged for a girl to win and one will, though with the lowest ratings A I has ever had.

3 songs and twice jimmy says the Kreedom and Angel won the first 2 songs. Has he gone along and lost his hearing. Dazzle sparkle and delight. Kree is not an emotional singer and Angie is all teeth and eyes and empty vocals while Candice is just superb. I think she will get a contract because she has the voice, the range, the understanding of a song and how to deliver it. I did not like that last note on Somewhere but other than that she was spot on.

So do we think Candice will be the "shocking elimination" tonight? And does the bug-eyed beaver have this hole thing wrapped up already? Does anyone even care?

Angie is good, but not exceptionally great. She doesn't have the versatility that Kree and Candice have. Those two seem more like natural born singers. They would also make for a better finale next week. Unfortunately I typically don't think the same as the average AI voter.
