Premieres September 9th. Here are the girls:



Tyra is supposedly trying to break barriers by casting models all under 5'7", HOWEVER a good portion of these girls are either 5'6" or 5'7" so a lot of them could actually be eligible to compete on the real show.

I forgot this was the cycle where Tyra was supposed to confront such a "controversial" topic -- being short in America.

The girls don't look all that short in the photos though. But I'm sure the camera is playing tricks.

Christ, none of them looks like models!

The last contestant is so, 'what are they thinking'. I think Lauren, Brittany and Erin are the only ones that has potential (in the industry, not just ANTM). Where's all the exotic models gone too? Sigh, ANTM featuring girls under 5"7, what the hell are they thinking? what kind of model would get booked under 5"7 for a runway. '$100,000' down the drain! CNTM and Janice Dickinson does a WAY better job then ANTM recruiting for models. Even Paulina agreed that ANTM recruits mainly girls that would sell their show; she said that after she left the show of course.

PS, does anyone know if it's 5"7 with heels or without? I'm pretty sure it's without, but just making sure
 
I'm sorry, but is Tyra ever gonna take atleast 4 months in between before she poops out another ANTM??? Tyra your ass is banking, but after 12 seasons we want a break.

I would watch an ANTM: Supermodel spin-off though...Bring back all the past winners and let them compete for the title of "supermodel"

Haha. Well I don't disagree that the fashion industry is changing, but it's not changing at a very fast pace.

Notice that the winner's prize will now include representation by Wilhemina Models and NOT Elite. Elite probably doesn't want to represent a model under 5'7".

I personally LOVE Rae. She's the epitome of a hot mom, a true milf in my book.
 
Thing is 5'7 girls have just been able to book runway anyway. 5'6 Is a little short but with some big shoes could work, anything lower is just setting them up for failure. Its an industry thats all about tall and thin, mostly runway. Yes kate moss made it at only 5'6" but there were ALOT of people who wouldn't let her neer their shows, let alone walk in them. Thing is 5'6" girls look WAY shorter than 5'7" girls, that one inch makes a huge difference and with the average model being 5'9/5'10 the winner is going to look like a midget.

I think the promo with tyra is just to make her look good and tall and thin next to short models rather than making the girls look good. They are all wearing flats and shes wearing heels with a platform...

Im all for short girls being models as I am a shorter guy (5'7" blehhh!) so got to support the cause, but this is not the way to go about it. Whats next? A whole plus size cycle?
 
WOW! they do look stunning. Would never have guessed any were under 5'8 from those pics. Although they are going to have to do everything to make them look tall if they actually want them to work at all.

How tall is the shortest girl?
 
I really can't stand the audition episode at the start of each cycle. They should just pull a cycle 2 and start the show with the finalists already chosen.

Whatever happened to Jesus-loving Amber? And does anyone else think that Kara looks like a young Kelly Bensimon from the Housewives of NY?

I don't understand why I tune into this show every season, but I will be watching. I'm rooting for Bloody Eyeball (Nicole).
 
I love Rae Photoshoot. She is so pretty. I hope she does well!

I'm actually meh about it when I saw the preview but after watching the premiere, I am so stoke about it! Never been so excited about ANTM until this season!

Are all bianca bitches? man, The other season with a Bianca, she is such a bitch too.
