If I had to choose one city in the World that I would have thought it was safe for us, I would have chosen Amsterdam....

Is the person with blood on their face suppose to be you? If it is why were you hurt? I have an idea though.

I really think it's time for some vigilante justice.

A gay militia needs to be organized or something. Enough pussyfooting around and trying to rely on hatecrimes laws.

Time to show the gay-bashers that their actions have consequences. You wanna get violent? You'll get it right back.

Have you ever watched Queer as Folk and watched the episode where Justin joined the "Pink Posse"?

Sadly, shit like this happens in even the gayest cities.

I have a friend named Dino. He was being harassed and the motherfuckers thought they could bash him because he's a faggot. All I can remember is him taking off his heel and beating one them with it.

Then he took the other one by the hair and started bitch slapping him.

Then again, he's from New York.

Little motherfucker but shady as shit.

Wow...I'd like to see that.

I can't get the image of a guy getting beat by a high heel shoe out of my head.

But I'm glad he stood up for himself.

The Netherlands ain't what it used to be. It's been changing for the past few years.

Glad to know that I won't be wasting my time studying Dutch :P. Vive la Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to clarify, I'm not advocating we do nothing and continue to let this happen.
Obviously something needs to be done.

I'm just hesitant suggesting vigilante groups and militias...

:rotflmao: You might as well go up to a pig and ask it if it's read the works of Alexis de Tocqueville.

No, what happened?

Justin gets bashed and recovers.

Sometime later another gay is bashed and gets beaten up pretty bad. The gay neighborhood Liberty Avenue has a meeting on deciding how to respond. A guy suggests a gay militia arguing that people will bash gays because they don't fight back.

Justin helps the guy who was bashed. The guy ends up not pressing charges against the gay bashers reasoning they were going to be let off fairly easy and would come back for him. Justin calls him a coward and the guy asks Justin what he did after he was bashed. (Which is nothing)

Justin thinks on this and decides to join that guy's group Pink Posse (This is the guy who suggested a gay vigilante group). The group at first just responds to various homophobic slurs (including pulling two guys out of car and taking their pants). And other things basically making the place safe for gays...

However as time goes on, the group went from just responding homophobia to actively looking for it. The guy reasons they have to stop homophobia before it happens. People slowly start abandoning the group feeling its just looking for a fight till only that guy and Justin remain.

Justin and that guy goes outside the gay bor hood and start making out just to provoke negative reactions. Eventually they provoke the wrong guy who had a knife, but the Pink Posse guy had a gun.

So Justin and that guy continue looking for fights until the Pink Posse guy convinces Justin to pay the guy who bashed Justin a visit. Justin proceeds to humiliate the guy, but Pink Posse dude wanted Justin to kill the gay basher. Justin refused and left the group. Pink Posse dude said Justin was just like every other gay guy afraid to fight back.

So the moral, these groups which start for good, can quickly spiral out of control.

couldn't you just see it....the GLBT Royal Military...and we start by declaring war on a country that is the worst and then knock off one country after another....and take them over.....turning them into GLBT colonies.....lol

Start with something small or really weak....like the vatican or uganda. Boy... that would really freak out the religious right.

Our theme will be.....Making The World Fabulous!

It's all in how we market it. ;)

This is why I am afraid to tell my friends. That and because they could tell my little sister's friend who could tell my sister and I wouldn't feel comfortable with my family knowing. I have very little friends and I don't want them to hate me and have me have no friends. I hope the person who hurt him gets in a lot of trouble.

 At least those places we conquered will have great taste in fashion after we are done.

Yeah and give the church reason to say "See?" "The gays are taking over!" "They want to promote the homosexual agenda and strip our rights!"

There needs to be zero tolerance. These fuckers need to be scared into stopping.

Scaring them into stopping may just give our enemies ammunition in saying we want to promote superiority, silence religious freedom or some bullshit.

I'm sorry to hear that...I hope that you have some real friends. A real friend would love you for who you are.

Well, I have real friends, just none my age and very few of them. My oldest friend is 16 then a 15 year old and the rest are like 12-14 and I'm 18. I know a real friend would but since I only know a few I think I should wait until I meet more people. One of them already told me that he doesn't mind gay people (he still has contact with my little sisters friend) anyways I don't want this topic to turn into about me not having many friends.

No matter what anyone does, there will always be hate in this world. The best thing for someone to do is only come out to friends and family. Who am I to say though? I'm afraid of saying 2 words to a friend.

I'm only talking about a tit-for-tat direct response to any serious hate crimes.

If someone actually beats up another person, unprovoked, they get their ass kicked.

If someone vandalizes a gay landmark (like an LGBT center, gay bar), they get their own property vandalized.

Hard to argue with that.

All I'm saying it can easily go from direct response to actually looking for a fight. And it could get worse...

I don't really care about them getting ammo any more. The ability of people to be out and proud without fear should trump any stupid media culture war b.s.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that how we lost gay marriage in California? Like didn't the religious people pull the "think of the children" card"? And that cost us marriage equality?

We give them ammunition to pull cards like that and that may come back to bite us...especially if gay marriage or other rights gets put to vote again...

Ah, but it didn't cost us marriage equality at all.

Thanks to the stupidity of California voters, who fell for that "think of the children card" (admittedly a very effective card in the deck of the haters), what was once a state-wide ruling in California may very well become enshrined in a higher court.

Justice is starting to side with us, so they can try all they want to win minor public opinion battles. It won't matter in the end.

That's good to hear.

I was worried that giving ammunition to our enemies to play cards like that would be bite us, but if the courts are starting to side with us, then I'm a little less concerned.

Agreed. Personally, I've never much cared for the American, Canadian, and Irish, drunken tourists urinating and vomiting everywhere. Amsterdam is one of my least liked cities in the world.

How come you don't have friends your own age? Are you going to college?

I live in Amsterdam. I wasn't at this rally, but I was at the last one. (couldn't make it because my sister insisted on renting a canalboat to celebrate her birthday).

The violence they're protesting against is mostly perpetrated upon them by citizens of North-African descent.
Incident after incident occurs with Moroccan nationals (they never lose their passport when they become Dutch citizens).

The irony is that the guy in the picture was supposedly beaten up by two Moroccan women during/after the protest. The mainstream media have declined to mention the background of the 'ladies'.
