I know it is really an entertainment item...but it also isn't. Amy Winehouse belongs in that pantheon of cultural icons and if you haven't seen this documentary....make sure that you give it a watch.

We saw it the other evening and I sat there with this ever growing feeling of a hole left in my heart as we watch her go from being a winsome teenager to tragic diva. It is one of the rare times that I sat there fixed in place just yearning for someone to do something to save her before the inevitable end.

The footage is incredibly intimate and immediate...you feel attached to her pain and joy and anxiety.

And it probably will make you want to punch the shit out of her father Mitch Winehouse.
