An Atkoler on a mission

I have been a member of a the Atkol Gay Video Forum. I have posted there for over a decade. On Monday it went down and even though there were very few of us regular posters left, that loss of community has hit me hard. I would post on a daily basis for the most part. There has been no clues to put the puzzle together as to what has happened that Atkol has disappeared. Beyond finding an answer to what has happened, I was hoping that I could found a small little enclave here at JUB for die hard Atkol posters to gather and touch base.

I know Atkol was competition for attention or business, but I sure hope that the moderators, administrators can show some grace and compassion for the small band of Atkolers to gather and embrace and new existance here at JUB as we come to terms with what what may very well be the loss of what to me was a member of my family the Atkol Message Board. The History of what we had may be lost and that hurts. Unfortunately I only have email communication with one other Atkoler on a regular basis, so it is rather a numbing affect to think of my Atkol posters maybe gone forever. We had a lot of interesting discussions over the years.

I am also wondering is there a way so that I can change my User Name to what I had at Atkol, so in the off chance a fellow Atkoler runs across this thread if it is allowed to exist to begin with that they know who I am from my time at Atkol.

I notice that JUB has groups maybe I can found a group and we can get a dialog going. A small little planet in the vast universe that is the JUB forum. I am not opposed to making new friends here at JUB, I just hope that in addition to that at least a few of us Atkol strays can find a home here as well.

The change of name - also addressed to them - should be fairly easy.

Thank you for your response. I will follow your advice. I have started a group and you are more than welcome to join if you want. Atkol Video Forums was a special forum, it hurts to refer to it in the past tense. I thoroughly treasure the time I spent there. Thanks once again for taking the time to respond to my question. It has been a pleasure, i notice you have been here 5 years, perhaps this may be the time to start posting more, on a variety of forums.
That way, we get to know you and vice-versa.
Honestly, for all the "purse-fights", and i have had my share of them, JUB is one of the most friendly and helpful sites around. Even the mods are more than tolerant, and do go out of their way to be as helpful as possible.
I am glad that your experience, now you are posting is a positive one.....

I won't get into any specifics right now; but I have some tangible hope that Atkol will be back at some point. I also have been informed that some of my fellow Atkolers are commited to enabling a gathering place so we can touch base. Unfortunately some Atkol posters may be lost to the ether of the Internet, but there are efforts to get as many Atkolers together as is possible. Thank you once again to my fellow posters here at JUB, to the JUB Forum and website itself and the moderators who have been very kind and lenient with me.
