Opinterph was doing yardwork today -- down in our home in Georgia (I'm in Seattle) -- and he stumbled across THIS!!!

Such an AWESOME WELCOME into SPRING!!! ..|

Back before I started driving over the road (PRE 2004) I used to plant a MASSIVE tulip garden each fall in our front yard -- it has been reworked into annuals ever since -- and SOMEHOW -- this TULIP SEED from WAY BACK THEN came to LIFE and FLOWERED -- just to MAKE US HAPPY!!! :D

Oh well -- I've got a BUNCH of pickups tomorrow and Thursday (including OMAK, WA -- WAY up there) so that I can haul a load of health food back to Georgia...

ONCE I leave OMAK -- I'll be able to jump on the CB and say (sing)...

"I've got applets and cotlets...

Eastbound and loaded...

Cleared away..."

Or something like that -- I might have forgotten the lyrics...

:):):)

Wow, what a nice surprise to see the tulip as your first flower of Spring!

I know when growing up my Mom use to tell us that to watch for the Crocus for they indicated that Spring was NOT far away.......

See the beautiful Crocus that we looked forward to finding.............(*8*)

Tulips are my favourite flower, I love when they first start to bloom. :)

I am so glad this winter is coming to an end!

I love Aplets and Cotlets. Good Northwesterner am I. And I love tulips too!

yeah we've got some volunteer tulips in our yard. I expect to see them about 10 days from now....

they are pretty happy-making!
