WOW!!!

I ALWAYS have a GREAT time when I get to spend the weekend in Portland!!!

This is MAINLY because both Nineofclubs and Station2Station are such AWESOME HOSTS!!! :D

This weekend it was no different -- I met up with Nineofclubs at the Convention Center Saturday morning for the Annual Vegfest (vegan festival) -- It was VERY COOL!!! ALTHOUGH, I will have to admit that MOST of the food was just edible -- there was some that was EXCELLENT -- and even a few exhibitors that I had to work hard to NOT throw up while trying to swallow their bazaar creations (oh -- and I'm saying this as a life long vegetarian)... :lol:

We then proceeded to the Saturday Market -- which is a HUGE outdoor pavilion -- similar to a flea market except WAY NICER with booths that sell stuff made from all over the state -- This is something I'd recommend to ANYONE that visits the city -- I've been there before and always leave with some cool neat finds...

After that we just goofed around town visiting the different stores -- and then went up to their apt where we had a few beers and checked out GrindR -- Then we went back downtown to meet up with Station2Station for happy hour drinks as he was just getting off from work...

Since I don't live on West Coast time -- I had to head back to the truck -- whilst they continued their evening festivities...

On SUNDAY -- I met up with them and a friend of theirs for Brunch (I had enchiladas in a REALLY GOOD and INTERESTING Molle' (sp?) sauce) -- and then we visited the Rose Garden -- this is one of the most INCREDIBLE places I've ever been...

And up until this point -- we had been so busy having fun -- that we had FORGOT to DOCUMENT our ADVENTURES...

And here is a LAME attempt at a video I made -- as you can tell we were all kind of scatterbrained that day -- and so the video is a little hard to follow... :lol:



From there -- all 4 of us went back to their apartment for a few beers and fun conversation -- then we headed off to see the strippers at Silverado's!!!

Its always a BLAST to get to spend time with other Jubbers -- and if any of you ever have the opportunity for even a MINI meet up -- I'd HIGHLY recommend it!!!

It DID kind of such that I had to leave so early -- ESPECIALLY since they were headed to a GrindR event and then a really cool sounding Elvis party...

UNFORTUNATELY -- I had driven from New Mexico - Wichita - Minneapolis - Seattle - Portland in 6 days and DID need a good nights sleep...

Well, I'm really hoping that some weekend we can all hang out, and have fun, in Atlanta!

I'm sure Swerve would be a GREAT guide, too. :-)

That was a great weekend. Driving up in the BWM, having super sunny weather, beautiful roses around us, and great company to say the least. luv StS.
 
I hope to reach Oregon next year, and I very much look forward to the hopes that I can be in Portland to hang with you guys.

I mentioned the strong possibility a year ago, but now it looks pretty much like a done deal. Seaside is actually the ultimate and determining destination of the proposed trip.

It would be super cool if swerve happens to be there as well, but I realize it's highly unlikely.
