Hello everyone,

Recently due to my negligence i had an encounter with someone while i was drunk,,needed the alcohol to get over my bf of three years,,,so the dam guy i guess fucked me without lube ,,, i had never had anal sex with anyone except my bf,,so i was quite comfortable with him,,,but that guy some how caused damage to my anus...i started bleeding the next morning while being on morning call in the toilet..so first i feared it might be hemorrhoid,,,was really reserved about going to doctor,,as in Pakistan where the society is conservative,,,so finally i made up my mind to visit a general physician,,,
I told him the truth and he was surprised that i had the guts to tell my problem without any hesitation,, so he diagnosed with anal fissures,,,but all he did was to see my anus from outside without even looking inside to reach that conclusion,,gave few antibiotics and some external cream but it didn't heal ,,so i visited him again and told him its still bleeding though less than before and its itching,,again without diagnosing he said that its going to be fine,,,keep on using the medicine for three more days,,so i did but it did not heal,,,dam i am so frustrated,, i cannot go to another doctor and tell him about my sexuality ,,its too risky.,..

Now my question is
1.How long will it take to heal naturally,,without any further medications,,

2. Is it fatal to have anal fissure,,,can i die because of bleeding?

3. What do they call a doctor specialized in anus related problems...like cardiologist for heart,,, is there any specialized name for such doctors dealing with anal problems?

Please reply.:help:

Oh btw i am HIV - [negative]...i run test every three months,,and practice safe sex,,and that encounter with the guy while i was drunk,,i dont remember using condom,,but i had my tests few days back,,thank God its clean.

More than half of all fissures heal either by themselves or with non-surgical treatment. Stool softeners can help reduce pain during bowel movements. Antibiotics may be used for a short time. Special medicated creams may also be used, especially if the fissure has become ulcerated or infected. It is important to keep the anus and area between the buttocks clean and dry. After bathing, the patient should gently pat dry with a soft towel. Applying talcum powder is frequently recommended. Sitz baths may help relieve discomfort and promote healing. A sitz bath is soaking the anal area in plain warm -- not hot -- water for 15-20 minutes several times a day.

If the fissure is not responding to treatment, the physician re-examines the patient. There are conditions, such as muscle spasm or scarring, that could interfere with the healing process. Fissures that do not heal can be corrected with surgery. It is a minor operation that is usually done on an outpatient basis. The surgeon removes the fissure and any underlying scar tissue. Cutting a small portion of the anal muscle prevents spasm. This helps the area to heal and rarely interferes with the control of bowel movements. Complete healing takes place in a few weeks. However, the pain often disappears after a few days.

Over 90% of the patients who need surgery for fissures have no further problems. Patients can help avoid the return of fissures by drinking at least eight glasses of water a day, and maintaining adequate fiber in the diet. This prevents constipation, which is the cause of most fissures.

first - hiv test results are only reliable if there are 3 months between the encounter and the test. in those 3 months you may not have any other risque encounter.

second - it's very weird the doctor didn't have a look "in your" anus, but an anal fissure is the most likely thing to be the cause of your bleeding. as far as i know wounds "down there" need quite some time to heal, but in general heal fine. use the cream wait some time. meanwhile try to eat everything that "thins" your stool ;)

you will not die of bleeding but a fissure *can* get chronic (which means it never really heals) - however this is quite rare.

if it doesn't get away on it's own in a week or the bleeding gets worse (or doesn't stop a few minutes after the toilet) go to another doctor asap. you don't need to tell him you are gay. tell him your gf wanted to try out her dildo on you since she heard some men like it, but she is stupid and didn't use lube .. or tell him you fingered yourself because you read that in some stupid magazine or whatever you can come up with :) straight men put stuff in their anus, too ;)

as a side note to my last post, I had a fissure. It took me 10 years to get rid of it. 10 years!!!! I bled everytime I went to the bathroom and it hurt so bad I would scream. No way to live for 10 years. It did keep me out of trouble though. I wouldn't let anyone fuck me. Good thing since my ex and several friends caught H.I.V. The positive of the fissure is it kept me safe. I still believe my grandma was watching down on me and ripped my ass. Ok, my ex did it the 1st time we fucked. Stupid curved dick of his!!! Damn thing went far left. Couldn't even suck that bitch.

Thanks for the advice guys,,, i will go to some other doctor after trying that cream for more few days and the warm water tub idea...and talcum powder thing,,,

A question which has been answer yet is
. What do they call a doctor specialized in anus related problems...like cardiologist for heart,,, is there any specialized name for such doctors dealing with anal problems?

You can tell the Doctor you were constipated and had to strain really hard to get it out and its been bleeding ever since.

Yes, proctologists (now known as colorectal surgeons) or you could go to a gastroenterologist.

He referred me to a colorectal surgeon...and for now he gave me some cream to ease off the pain,,,
And yeah i told him that j had to strain really hard to get it out...and it starting bleeding,,lets hope he doesnt get it that its caused bu some dick,,,, BTW he is same doctor that i am hitting on...

1. anal fissure can take quite a bit to heal cause when u think about it the anal canal opens up each time u take a shit and opens up the fissure - giving u that lovely pain and the bleeding - so it takes time and generally something to relax in snaus - generally a nitrous based cream like nitrol. In addition a stool softener and keeping well hydrated helps things cause u DONT wanna pass hard-as-a-rock bricks when u shit - u wanna left it glide out and not cause any trauma on the way out as it were

2. No they arent fatal
3. Generally these problems are dealt with by ur family doctor - if there are problems the appropriate individual is a ano-rectal surgeon although gastroenterologists are gettin in on the act as it were since they are scoping people
