I stopped all things anal about 4 months ago and I’m still have anal leakage daily! What helps!?!?!??

Generally, anal leakage isn't connected to anal sex, as long as you weren't doing extreme anal play.

There's a number of things that can cause leakage. Your best bet is to see a gastroenterologist to determine whether there's a problem like irritable bowel disease that would explain why you're having leakage.

Leakage is from poor anal sphincter muscle tone. You can tighten up that muscle with simple exercises. Do an internet search for "anal kegel" and you'll find instructions.

This is what happened to me. Several years ago (2012) I finally mentioned to my Doc that I had anal leakage (smears in my underpants). He assumed it was hemorrhoids and sent me to a general surgeon. After an exam the surgeon said all he saw was a loose flap of skin inside my anus. He said he could cut it out but not guarantee it would fix my problem. He said usually the problem is a matter of too much or too little fiber. I returned at a later date for outpatient surgery. It did not fix the problem. So I just put up with it for several years using round cotton pads (found in the makeup section of the store) put between my cheeks after a bowl movement. That soaked up the leakage.

I finally went to a gastroenterologist about 3 years ago. Basically he said no specialist will give you an opinion without an updated colonoscopy. I never got around to doing that. Thinking back it was a (often) normal thing for me, when I had a bowel movement, that the toilet water was cloudy near the bottom of the bowl. It was cloudy enough that I could not see the stool (but not very dark with floaters like you see with diarrhea. I kinda assumed that the stool was just immediately breaking down from sitting in the water.

The issue continued until about 1 1/2 years ago when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was put on oral meds for that (Metformin). After 3 or 5 months I realized that the leakage had slowly stopped...but now i had frequent (weekly) soft BM's or diarrhea. BUT, I had also lost 40 pounds. At this point, since I'm now off the Metformin (by about a month) and my bowels are only a little better. It was suspected that the Metformin or my gallbladder was causing the soft BM problem. I now suspect all along it was my gallbladder (before my weight loss I was eating fatty foods everyday) acting up causing the leakage. Apparently there is no fix for a gallbladder other than changing your diet.
