I done some research and found out insurance doesnt even cover getting rid of 1 skin tag and I cant afford it. Im scared to just cut it myself down there, who knows what could happen or how much bleeding I might have. what is there to do?
 
Um...what exactly is an anal skin tag?

Actually...maybe I don't want to know.

Tie a piece of string or strong cotton tightly around it at the base. This will cut off the blood supply and it will eventually just shrivel up and drop off (be careful what you're tying off down there, though! :p )
 
Just leave it alone until you have the money to see a doctor about it... it's not a skin tag that's messing up your sex life... why do you think it is messed up?
 
If you do the string thing, what are you going to do if it gets infected? And the infection goes to the rest of your body? It might be worth saving up and going to a doctor.

You're being too self conscious about it. Most people won't care and the very few who would aren't worth your time.

You don't expect your partners to be perfect, do you? It doesn't make sense to hold yourself to a higher standard than what you expect from others.
 
I looked up your resources and I'm not sure that anal skin tags are the same thing. Some anal skin tags come from anal fissures. I'm pretty sure these are different than other kinds of skin tags (I have had both). I'm not sure that tying anal skin tags off with a thread would be a good idea, the more I thought about it.

anal skin tags from anal fissures can interfere with anal sex by causing extra pain.

I had one on my under side of my dick about 7 years ago. I iced it and cut it off with nail clippers. Yes it hurt but only for a few minutes. It did grow back but I cut it off as it was growing back so it was much smaller. That didn't hurt. It bleeds like a pimple would.You have to get the root or it will grow back. Tying a string around it is silly. You will only have the tip fall off. But it never grew back after that. At the same time I had one my mom had one on her neck that she got removed. I had no clue what i cut off me till I asked her what was on her neck. She didn't know I had one but it must run in my family. It's not really that big of a deal. Cutting it off your ass has to be easier than what I did.
 
Well, when you do feel like reading, you'll find that there is no "root" to be gotten.
