For me it was 2020-2022 because that is when it became visible what happens when there is an incompetent group of people in charge. That incompetence and all their lies led to the death of over a million people in the US.

Looking back, 2018 was an earlier indicator- that's when many of the competent and rational Republicans were purged from leadership positions and replaced with loyalists and cultists.

2020-2022 was when it became apparent that we had a sociopath in the Oval Office.

It became very apparent in early 2022 when Mango Mussolini began to panic because he realized that he was going to lose an election. He was willing to lie about a pandemic and pretend that everything was fine in an attempt to get re-elected.

The turning point for me was seeing that sociopath use the government police and elements of the military to tear gas and attack the protestors in DC, so that he could stand in front of a church with a Bible. Never mind that he was holding the Bible upside down. Never mind that it was the parish house of the church and not the actual church and he didn't know the difference. I've been in enough middle eastern and central American countries to recognize the actions and symbolism of an autocrat.

What is going on in the current day is like watching rocks being turned over and we're seeing all the creepy crawly stuff that has been hiding under the rocks.

No, Trump, 2020-2022. People didn't start telling the truth about Trump until after Jan 20, 2021 when he couldn't use the government to punish them for telling the truth.

After he was fired by the American public, I thought that Trump would grumble, go away and get back to his previous "Trump" grifts. I should have listened to Mary Trump's predictions around Narcissistic Collapse. Mary Trump predicted he would never be able to accept that he lost and he would just get increasingly worse with time.

Until the Jan 6th investigation, no one was talking. Even the Republicans who pussied out on 20-Jan-2021 (like Miss Lindsey), had closed ranks and were back to protecting Trump. For some reason, Mark Meadows turned over documentation to the committee and it was all there in writing. Hearing Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony, that's when it became apparent that Trump wasn't only a narcissist, he was a full-on sociopath.

The details from what was going on during the COVID pandemic were apparent from the press conferences with Trump babbling about bleach and ultraviolet light. It wasn't until he was gone when Fauci, Birx and others started disclosing exactly how bad it was. It wasn't just incompetence, it was willful neglect. Trump figured out that the projections of having 1,5000-2,000 people dying per day was going to impact his election chances. Better to blame the States and the Democrats than to acknowledge that he had lied to the public, the pandemic was serious and his government had failed to address it truthfully or correctly.
