We turn each other's cranks
And yet we ended up with Tuberville as the senior Senator from Alabama. Talk about a decline in standards.
Well, we got two years of Doug Jones, and from Alabama, that's pretty damn good.

I don't know, Tommy just got caught trading defense contractor stocks while sitting on the Armed Services Committee....and yet we ended up with Tuberville as the senior Senator from Alabama. Talk about a decline in standards.
She's a sultty ho, which is fine if you have the penis, but not if you're licking the penis, whether you have one or not.Oh that is interesting.
So, Texas Youth Foundation (TYF) is the 501(c)(3) money side of Texas Youth Summit (TYS). TYF is a Turning Point Action affiliate and TYF is operated by a Ted Cruz acolyte named Christian Collins, a graduate of Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. Boebert is also a Ted Cruz acolyte (supposedly, Cruz got Boebert to run for Congress) and there have been nasty rumors flying around about the um..personal relationship between Boebert and Cruz.
TYF's goal is to recreate the 1970s glory days of Campus Crusade for Christ. TYF is recruiting heavily from Protestant youth groups in fundamentalist churches, telling teenagers that they are being oppressed by godless liberals and the LGBT community. There's another group called New Columbia (as in Knights of Columbus) Movement which is the Catholic equivalent. TYF shows up at gay bars and drag events to protest along with the Proud Boys, Young Conservatives, American Nationalist Initiative, etc.
After the Boebert's little show at the Beetlejuice show this weekend, TYS invited her to speak at their convention in Houston. Interesting that they pulled the invite so quickly. Sounds like the evangelical and White Christian Nationalist crowd might be abandoning Boebert?

“Let it be known. Let it be clear now. The Bush era in Texas ends today.”
So much for the mountain of damning evidence in the impeachment trial of Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. That statement in the closing argument of his defense attorney Tony Buzbee was a naked appeal to the tribalism that has reshaped the once-rational GOP in Texas.

It was also a warning shot, and it worked to devastating effect. After eight hours of “deliberation,” the Texas Senate on Saturday acquitted Paxton of all 16 charges of bribery, unfitness for office and abuse of office on which the Republican-controlled House had overwhelmingly voted to impeach him in May.

Raymond, founder of Lakeside Christian Academy, was arrested twice last spring on juvenile cruelty charges related to discipline he is accused of carrying out in his role as headmaster. Raymond said he has been on voluntary leave of absence from the school since his arrests last spring.
He is accused of holding a 4-year-old boy upside down by his ankles and "whipping his buttocks" and taping three 13-year-old boys' mouths shut with packing tape for talking too much in class.
He is also accused of covering the 4-year-old's mouth and nose with his hand to stop the child's "tantrum" in a separate incident. In a news release, police said witnesses reported Raymond's actions prevented the child from breathing "to the point of him going limp." The witness, a staff member, said the child was "out of it and lethargic" and "unable to stand."

...Schiff, a former impeachment manager against Trump, questioned Durham about whether President Trump flaunted information that was released by Russian hackers during the 2016 election. Durham repeatedly insisted he had no knowledge of the matter. But in the midst of the exchange, Durham clearly stated he doesn’t doubt the validity of evidence showing Russia was trying to help Trump—something many Republicans have vehemently denied...MSN

Clay Bennett is one of the best doing these political themes. He always seems to get it right.
