I don't think the New Apostolic Reformation crowd is going to stop at anything that gets in their way. They will eventually target gay people (again).

However, John Reid is another Richard Grennell type. He's accepted his own homosexuality but he's hanging out with the people who think he's a pervert. He's also playing the martyr game because he got caught having naughty pictures on a public website. That might not be a big deal for a straight candidate, but in the State that is the home of Liberty University and the Falwell organization, it's a deal-killer.

The reason that the Republicans don't want him to run for Lt Gov is they know he'll lose against a Democrat. They were hoping he would get knocked out in the primary but his Republican primary opponent dropped out of the race, so Reid became the only candidate on the Republican side.

VA hasn't held their primaries yet. There's like 5-6 Dems in the race for the Lt Gov. If they can't win in Virginia- one of the states hit my Federal Worker layoffs- then the Democratic Party has bigger problems.

Let Youngkin and Reid sling all the deplorable mud they want.
