Meet Vance Ginn from the Texas Public Policy Foundation, one of the front organizations for oil money in Texas Republican politics. Mr Ginn tweeted out recommendation that Texas should open schools and get rid of masks because it's "mostly" old people and hispanics that are dying from COVID. If that weren't clear, he included the hashtag #Mexico in the tweet.... 'cause All Lives Matter... Culture of Life... etc.

As of yesterday, 5,888 people in Texas have died of COVID-19.

At his Liberty University, students who attend a dance face a fine of $20, and are also barred from “visiting alone with the opposite sex at an off-campus residence." The university also deems sex outside of marriage, and same-sex relations, to be “not permissible”.

I think that it was finally just one misstep too many.

I am sure that the board has been inundated with calls from the fundamentalist fringe with threats not to send their kids to their wing-nut school.

And I have no doubt but that somehow he will re-read the gospels and figure out a resurrection strategy.

The good news is that this at least knocks him off the stage for the next 90 days.

He doesn't have to make any speeches in support of the guy who is blackmailing him. So this may have been a way of gaining his freedom.

Hopefully, he's bled off enough millions from his late Daddy's organizations to keep him afloat for a while. That way, he will be free to pick up hunky young men by the waist, do three-ways with many pool boys/personal trainers and party in the tropics, while the university drowns in red ink.

There's lots of picture floating around showing him in tropical locations with his daughter's shirtless hunky boyfriend. Michael Cohen has a book coming out. Now that that Falwell Jr has fallen from grace, maybe Cohen will add an appendix spilling the beans about the fixer work he did for the Falwells.

It changes hourly. The latest was that he said he resigned but has been dragging his feet about putting it in writing.

The folks at Liberty University are no doubt hoping that their evangelical donors are distracted enough by the pandemic, the hurricane and the election that they won't notice all the dirty laundry about the Falwells that is about to get out in the public domain.

Personally, I hope the entire Falwell empire comes down, especially the faux law school at Liberty. This is the same crowd that has been putting attorneys from Liberty University law school into State Attorney General offices to defend anti-abortion legislation. This is the same crowd that always shows up any time there's an anti-LGBT initiative in front of the Courts. They've been exposed for the hypocrites they are now that their leader has been shown to be a voyeur who likes to watch hot young men fuck his wife. It's just a matter of time before some of these young men from Liberty come forward with more stories about Jerry Jr.

We've had posts on JUB (with pictures!) for months about the Falwell parties, the expensive vacations to tropical locations, the hot young men that are always hanging out with the Falwells, the weird behavior of Jerry Jr around young men and the millions of dollars in "loans" to the hot young men in the Falwell orbit.

If we knew, then the leadership at Liberty, the parents of the students and the donors who have been funding this shit show can't claim that they didn't know. They chose to look the other way because they had an insider connection with Trump/Pence and because the money kept rolling in.
 
I also very much hope that Liberty U crashes and burns in the most spectacular fashion....or I would be happy if it just dwindled away and died a quiet death. Unfortunately, I suspect that we are going to see a much more reactionary and hard line approach from the Board and they will be looking for someone with real Baptist cred to re-build after this.
If the new President of the University has enough 'star' power....they may come out of this even more dangerous than ever since they won't have guilty open secrets that might be used to neuter their influence.
