I've been wondering why Dr Fauci has been on edge lately. In the 30+ years that I've seen him dealing with bureaucrats, I've never seen him lose his cool. If someone with an assault weapon were coming to kill me, I think I would lose my cool, too.

One only has to look at the "karma" thread in Hot Topics to see all those anti-Fauci memes to know where the source of the issue is. And yes, people like Rand Paul caused a lot of it. DeSantis is another one.

I don't think we want to wait until Dr Fauci is harmed. Sen Paul needs to be forced to resign. He and Ron Johnson are dangerous.

Sen Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). *sigh*

The Biden Administration nominated an underqualified candidate, Andre Mathis, for a seat on the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals from Tennessee. Mr Mathis is a well-respected attorney but he doesn't have much experience arguing a case in the Federal Courts. Sen Blackburn got pissed off because, as the Senator from Tennessee, she wasn't asked to approve of Mr Mathis' nomination before the nomination was announced.

In her questioning of Mr Mathis, who is Black, Blackburn brought up unpaid traffic tickets Mr Mathis had a decade ago. In a long diatribe, she referred to Mr Mathis as having a "rap sheet with a laundry list of citations".

And they wonder why they get accused of racism, when you refer to an African-American nominee for the Federal Courts as having a "rap sheet"?



Mathis' was not the best choice for a seat on the Federal Appeals Court . But, Senator Blackburn, who has a BS in Home Economics, is probably not the best person to render an opinion on whether a nominee for the Courts is a qualified candidate, either.

Today's 8-1 SCOTUS decision against Trump's request to block the National Archives from releasing Trump Adminstration documents related to the 6-Jan Insurrection.

Guess who the "1" was? The single vote that said Trump- who is not the executive- would have the right to stay the release of documents on the grounds of "executive privilege"?

No, no conflict of interest. Nah.
