And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

He did marry a beard, that would piss me right off.

Because of course there's a video...
I think there's about two weeks until his primary.

If they're putting this kind of stuff out 2 weeks before the primary, there's more nasty nasty stuff to come. We're going to long for the simple days of Downton Abbey offices and personal email servers.

A sampling of today's headlines:
  • Madison Cawthorn Thrusting His Naked Body on Another Man’s Face Doesn’t Tell Us Much About His “Gayness"
  • Rep. Madison Cawthorn responds to video showing him 'being crass' while naked in bed with cousin
  • Madison Cawthorn Says 'Blackmail Won't Win' After Nude Thrusting Video Leaks
  • GOP Rep. Cawthorn calls leaked nude video ‘blackmail,’ says he was just ‘being crass with a friend’

I was going to say, you can't really tell it is him from the video. But from his tweet, it sounds like he admits it was him. How stupid do you think we are, "David"? No one is "crass" and "tries to be funny with a friend" like that in private, if they're straight. Who else would have this video other than the boyfriend and him? The boyfriend must really be pissed at him.
He admits it's him. Obviously, he doesn't have a publicist (or more accurately, a good publicist) working with him. When he first went to Congress, he bragged that his first hires were "comms people"- the people who do his social media. Douchebags and assholes don't get the top-grade staffers.

I've seen straight guys (particularly drunk straight guys) do things like teabag each other (there's a JUB thread called "Passed Out Guys" with pictures!). This was the first time I've seen something quite like this.

It appears that there were at least 3 guys in the room because there's a 3rd guy holding the phone and egging him on. The face of the guy on the receiving side of the dry-humping isn't visible and so far, no attention-seeking millennial has come forward to say, "Hey, I was there!".

I admit that although I loathe the guy, this Kompromat campaign only reinforces the approach that candidates get taken out on the basis of the shit they do behind closed doors and not because of their political record.

It says a lot about the way that voters think (or don't) any more.

It's one thing if they can prove he's broken a law or he's violated the rules but this is a circa-1950s smear campaign that implies he's gay. That's troubling.

The Republicans have had two years to deal with this dimwit that the equally dimwitted voters in western North Carolina sent to represent the dimwits of their district. They could have filed ethics complaints about the bitcoin. They could have said that he needed to resign after the sexual harassment stuff came out. They could have said that he needed to resign after the Hilter-fandom stuff came up. They could have gone after him for the funny money stuff that went on in his campaign and in his Congressional office. They could have said that he needed to resign after the ridiculous shit he's said about Ukraine, guns and other topics.

They didn't.

Instead they're trying to get rid of him by implying he's a pansy.

If the Republican leadership can't stand up to their errant members, then who is the pansy here?

Let's take a moment to point out something: the new trend in the Republican party is for office-holders who do awful and illegal things to remain in office until the day they're sent to prison. On the other side, you have Democrats like Sen Al Franken (D-MN) resigning because of a picture of him acting like a fratboy back when he was a comedian. You have Rep Katie Hill (D-CA) resigning because of a consensual relationship with a staffer (which is an ethics violation).

Republican deplorables stay in office until they're led away in handcuffs. Democratic deplorables resign in shame.

poor Jr., going ballistic over the fallout his father's comments are getting about shooting Patriot missiles into Mexico to target drug labs; and, then trying to hide the fact that we (U.S.) fired them ](*,)

https://www.thenewcivilrightsmoveme...mb-mexico-is-that-supposed-to-be-a-bad-thing/

First off. . .Patriot missiles are SAM's and secondarily, Mexico is a sovereign country and that would definitely be an act of war, regardless of who one is targeting

...Republican deplorables stay in office until they're led away in handcuffs...

And even after they're taken away in handcuffs, they still win primaries...

Boone County man charged with wife's murder wins Republican primary for town board [WTHR]
Nikki Wilhoite's body was recovered from a creek northwest of Lebanon March 26, after Andrew told detectives that he dumped her there.

A Boone County man charged with his wife's murder will be on the November ballot for school board after winning a Republican primary.

Andrew Wilhoite got 60 votes during Tuesday's primary to pursue one of three open seats on the Clinton Township Board. He was one of three candidates for the board on the Republican ballot, which meant all three would win a nomination.

In March, the Boone County prosecutor filed murder charges against Andrew in the killing of his wife, Nikki.

Today's Cawthorn rumors involve his chief of staff.

NC Rep. Madison Cawthorn Hires Friend as Lead Staffer, Who Makes $127,000, Despite Having No Work Experience [The Root]
Well, Cawthorn's chief of staff, William 'Blake' Harp, did run a fireworks stand, so there is that.
Well, it turns out that since taking office, Cawthorn just can’t stop making news, as he has hired his homeboy, who has absolutely no experience in government whatsoever, to be his top staffer, costing taxpayers a smooth $127,111. Well, I shouldn’t say no experience; Cawthorn’s chief of staff, William “Blake” Harp, did run a Texas fireworks stand, so there is that...

Cawthorn spokesman Micah Bock did not respond to requests for a comment, but the Citizen-Times did note that Harp likes “Bubba’s Fireworks” on his Facebook page. The Citizen-Times also notes that more than a half dozen top staffers for N.C. members of Congress have six to 17 years of experience in government.

Yes, that's Maddy and "the cousin" in the background of the picture.

But he has a "wife" you guys!!!

Hell for 130K a year I would push Madison around, and help him into the sling whenever he wanted to get pounded!

Damn, does Maddy know anyone who doesn't explode the gaydar? The cigars and guns and beards aren't fooling anyone.

or one could take the salary, get the proof and sell him out to all the 'phobes and watch them remind Maddy he's just another dirty faggot.

Too late, alas.

Well, if you also grab his crotch and live with him, you'll get a staff job and an even bigger payment.

U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn gave cousin $141K in campaign and taxpayer funds, records show [WRAL]
A relative and close adviser to U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn has pocketed more than $141,000 from taxpayers and campaign donors since 2020, according to congressional and campaign payroll records.

The documents also show a roughly eight-month period during which the 26-year-old North Carolina congressman paid Stephen Smith, his second cousin, simultaneously from Cawthorn’s congressional office and campaign. The payments were addressed to Smith at a Hendersonville address. The address matches that of Cawthorn's, state voter registration records show.

And just for fun:

Gay marriage, interracial marriage, contraception, and even internet porn are all on the chopping block if they get their way. Plan ahead and vote accordingly.

Nevermind "groomers". The latest political buzzword is "gropers".

Meet Charles Herbster, the Trump-endorsed candidate for Nebraska governor.

Nebraska Governor Candidate Backed by Trump Accused of Groping 8 Women [Newsweek]
Charles Herbster, a Republican candidate for Nebraska governor who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump and recently appeared at a campaign event alongside Donald Trump Jr., has been accused of groping at least eight women, the Nebraska Examiner reported.

Herbster, the CEO of manufacturing company Conklin, is one of the GOP's leading candidates in the weeks leading up to next month's primary for a nominee in the governor's race.

At least eight women, including a Republican state senator, told the Examiner that since 2017 Herbster had touched them over their clothes without their consent several times, and one woman alleged that he forcibly kissed her. Herbster's campaign has denied the allegations and dismissed them as a "political hit piece."

And of course, taking a page out of the Trump playbook, Herbster is suing the Nebraska state senator who accused him.

Nebraska governor candidate sues sex assault accuser [ABC]
A Nebraska governor candidate who is backed by former President Donald Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against a state lawmaker and fellow Republican who has accused him of groping her at a local party event in 2019.

In the dictionary under the word "Groper", you will find this picture:
