And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

From your keyboard to the eyes of their God.

I imagine though, that it will be the version that the southern baptist convention supports.
My Grandpa always said that if you don't sin on Saturday night, you have nothing to confess on Sunday Morning. The funny thing about Southern Baptist commandments is that no one obeys them.

More performance art for the right wingers. We will see if the ten commandments in the classroom get to stay.

Providing a time for meditation as long as it is not guided prayer will likely stand.
When the power grid goes down in the dead of winter they can huddle by the Ten Commandments plaque to keep warm.

They'll all get drunk and fornicate in the dark. The next day they will add the Beatitudes to the schoolhouse wall and ignore it too.

More youth pastors saving children from drag queens:

The former Denison pastor who pleaded guilty in April to child sex crimes was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, federal prosecutors announced Monday.

David Alan Pettigrew, 49, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of children, conspiracy and attempt was given 360 months by U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant on Monday.

Pettigrew came to the attention of law enforcement through referrals sent by two electronic service providers and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which indicated that a user had uploaded files of suspected child pornography.

Investigators traced the leads to Pettigrew’s home in Denison and the Denison Church of the Nazarene. Members of Homeland Security Investigations and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at both locations on August 6, 2020, at which time Pettigrew was arrested for transporting child pornography.

As the investigation progressed, investigators discovered that Pettigrew and co-defendant Chad Michael Rider had set up hidden cameras in various locations in order to capture children in various stages of undress. On August 19, 2020, a grand jury returned an indictment charging Pettigrew with transportation of child pornography and both Pettigrew and Rider with conspiring to and attempting to sexually exploit children (a/k/a production of child pornography).

"Black Collar Crime"

While the news is constantly covering protests at drag queen story time and legislatures are distracting everyone with bills about drag queens...

David Lloyd Walther, 56, of Georgetown, was arrested on Thursday and charged with distribution, receipt, transportation and possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney's office. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison...

Walther was a pastor at the Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock for the past 18 years, said David Clawson, a deacon at the church.

"The criminal complaint alleges that Walther downloaded and made available child pornography using BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing network," the release said. It said this happened when Walther, who is a Georgetown resident, was still a pastor.

Again, no drag queens:

An Alabama pastor jailed earlier this month on allegations of sexual abuse of a 7-year-old girl is now facing more charges.

The Rev. Kenneth Harold Daniel, pastor at First Baptist Church of Chalkville, was charged in Blount County with facilitating solicitation of unlawful sexual conduct with a child.

Daniel now is facing charges in Shelby and Jefferson County counties involving the same victim, Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon confirmed Friday.

He is charged in Shelby County with four counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 with bonds totaling $240,000.

In the times before they outed themselves on social media....imagine all the young children assaulted by pastors who carried it with them the rest of their lives.

Everyone has focused so much on the Catholic Church...they forget that the God fearing Baptists are right in there as well.

I'm not sure how LGBT people got on the defensive on the child molestation issue. Especially since it is the people who are pushing these allegations - specifically evangelical churches and Republican elected officials - who seem to have a problem.

I try to just post the stories that resulted in a conviction or where multiple children were involved but to be honest, I could probably post 4-5 of these stories per week. That's how bad it is.

The Catholic Church deserves to be the focus because of the global nature of their sexual abuse, the millions that was spent covering it up and their lack of interest in putting the perpetrators in jail.

However, when it was the Southern Baptist's turn, the media just said, "Oh, this is bad. Guess what Trump said yesterday?". Hundreds of cases of sexual abuse by the SBC and no one is saying anything?

This story was from 12 months ago and has any politician called for an investigation into these churches? Why aren't these stories getting covered by national media outlets?
The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is a collection of loosely affiliated member churches, boasting just under 15 million members, and is dominated by white members, who are usually deeply socially conservative. The convention has often been a powerful tool for rightwing organizing in recent years, especially on issues around abortion...

The issue at hand is the release by the SBC of a 205-page document naming hundreds of Baptist leaders and members accused or found guilty of sexual abuse of children. The list, which includes 700 entries on cases between 2000 and 2019, was released after a bombshell third-party investigation by Guidepost Solutions said the convention’s leaders in its executive committee failed the public and its community by mishandling sexual abuse cases and mistreating victims and survivors...

The initial report was released after a seven-month investigation that revealed 380 leaders and volunteers in the SBC have faced public accusations of sexual abuse. It said that the SBC’s general counsel and spokesman had kept their own private list of abusive ministers and that leaders of SBC’s executive committee had focused for decades on trying to protect the SBC from liability for abuse in local churches.

I always suspect that the hysteria over 'grooming' of kids by lgbtq has its origins in the right wingers knowing it is actually rife within their own churches, schools and community.

But they can deflect because drag is so visible.

I wonder how many of them are trying to get their heads around the death of Dame Edna today.

The SBC came about because they said God demanded slavery. That is quite literally why they exist. Unlike the Catholic Church, however, there is no central authority oversight. There isn't much the SBC can do other than toss out the whole church which still won't remove a popular pastor.

It isn't just children either, there is also rape and abuse of the adult variety, and of course, all the pink collars hiding under the banner of God.

They can dis-affiliate the church from the Convention. They can turn the perpetrators in to authorities.

That's where these large, powerful religious organizations keep going wrong. These Christian organizations are supposed to be taking care of the poor, mournful, meek, the hungry, the thirsty, the persecuted. Instead, when these men in the clergy (and it almost always a man), get caught abusing their power over their congregants, these religious organizations protect themselves and their own power.

Another Baptist Pastor and another minor:

A high school pastor from the Okeechobee County School District was accused of being involved in a romantic relationship with a student.

Donny Raney, 36, was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Okeechobee County Jail for violating Florida law by engaging in a romantic relationship with a student, says the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office.

Tucker Carlson out at Fox News

I was wondering whether the Hannity/Ingraham clique or the Carlson clique would take the fall. Now we know.

Next up: menopausal female anchors with drinking problems... Bartiromo, Piro, et al.

Congrats to Tucker Carlson upon becoming the first tv host in history to be fired by CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News - the cable tv Triple Crown!

I think the price Rupert paid is beginning to emerge.

Oh so sorry Fucker, no one will miss you, and now you are free to hop over to Newsmax where you belong. Perhaps you can use some of your money to keep it siolvent.

The article suggests the student was over 18 not a minor,. The fact that she was a student is the legal issue.
Actually, it says that they could not find any messages on her phone dated prior to her turning 18.
