The Guardian reports that in No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong With Politics and How We Move America Forward, Noem graphically recounts executing her family’s dog, Cricket, who—it may not surprise you to hear—she says she “hated.” Cricket, Noem writes, was a 14-month-old wirehair pointer who needed to be trained to hunt pheasants...

“I hated that dog,” Noem writes, adding that Cricket had proved herself “untrainable,” “dangerous to anyone she came in contact with,” and “less than worthless…as a hunting dog.”

“At that moment,” Noem says, “I realized I had to put her down.”

Yeah, I grew up on a farm. We weren't killing any puppies, even if they ate a few chickens. It's telling how she characterized the dog as a psychopath; on some level, she knew that story was whack.

But she said it anyway, in pursuit of pretending to be a bad ass.

Two questions, did it actually happen? I can see her thinking the horde would feel all tingly about her stern resolution. They didn't.

If it did, how many puppies did she kill in pursuit of the perfect bird dog?

I've said it before no one is trying to change people's minds. Toad can pick whoever or whatever he wants. He could run on a ticket of Him and a hamberder, and the people who will vote for him will vote for him.

This election will be decided by who gets more of their people to the polls. No one is going to convince anyone else.
