Certainly there are reasons why many people are turning away from media like the Times, MSNBC and WAPO as their owners become increasingly complicit in enabling a corporate fascist government. The problem is there are fewer and fewer other options for world class respected journalists. Xitter has destroyed any credibility for jouranlism by telling anyone who pays them $8 a month that they are now the journalists and basically attacking any of the accredited journalists. This is the reason that the European Journalists' group, representing hundreds of reporters have shifted their platform to Bluesky, which at the moment, is the only respectable space for fact based reporting.
Sounds like the Times might be about to lose a lot of their talent.

Nancy Mace talking about mental health. That's rich.
This is why Hunter's pardon was totally justified.

Lying is bipartisan. The alacrity, scope and breadth may be more the feature of the modern Republican Party.I will just keep saying it. Deceit is republican policy. Republicans have no conscience about lying...
Well it isn't as though we haven't seen amoral religiosity and downright christian lying in action for the last 2000 years around the world.Lying is bipartisan. The alacrity, scope and breadth may be more the feature of the modern Republican Party.
Mike Johnson came to power with claims of being a devout evangelical Christian.
What bothers me more is the close association between Christianity and the Republican Party and how the pursuit of power has become more important than moral values that Christians used to claim... like not telling a lie or bearing false witness. The definition of "deplorable".
Amoral religiosity is the danger.
True. The Roman Catholic Church certainly used mendacity in its pursuit of power in Europe. But wasn't that why Protestants led a Reformation against Catholicism's abuses? And wasn't that why America's Protestant Founding Fathers were so emphatic about separation of Church and State?Well it isn't as though we haven't seen amoral religiosity and downright christian lying in action for the last 2000 years around the world.
Did you just use the word "straight" in the context of Lindsey Graham?Meanwhile....let me get this straight.
Meanwhile....let me get this straight.
Lindsey says that Trump should overturn a part of the 14th amendment by executive order on Day One but that he is working on a constitutional amendment to make it law?

A two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate of Congress is required to propose an amendment. Alternatively, a convention can be called if two-thirds of states request it.
Three-fourths of state legislatures or three-fourths of state conventions must ratify the amendment.
Good luck there girlfriend. You and I both know this is just more performance politics to gin up the base.
