Nobody seriously hurt? Sounds like BS to me.

Go into the middle of a riot, what the hell do you expect?

Mubarek is trying to stifle the truth being told to the world. Reporters operated with impunity until his goons showed up with orders to attack them.

"Truth is the first casualty of war". :(

Any good will Mubarak had left is gone now...there has to be a transition government in short order, and Mubarak must go now.Today's show of force proves Mubarak is delusional...thinking he can somehow hoodwink the world and still control events by paving the way for his cronies. He had the chance to go out with dignity, now if he goes out in a box,I don't care.

Don't they dare harm Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Send Bill O'Reilly or Beck, but don't mess with Cooper.

I wonder if he'll need a nice man hug.

I am glad no one was seriously hurt!

Got to agree with those here I disagree with most of the time.

You put your foot into a hornets nest you will get stung. The risk is worth the reward you do it anyway.

….. Cooper enjoys being the news rather than reporting it
The people are trying to sort out vital internal problems.

And in comes a troop of 'Nosey parkers', expensively-dressed and expensively-fed, filled with their own vanity and self-importance and lead by someone who wears make-up during the day.

however... Cooper enjoys being the news rather than reporting it

I agree, CNN is trying desperately to up their ratings by sending Cooper and Amanpour over to Egypt instead of some low-level correspondent.

^ Or unlike FOXhole news, they actually still believe in having people on the ground instead of cowering in their studios scribbling on their blackboards trying to figure out how it is Obama's fault.

Reports have surfaced that major network anchors and news producers are being subject to campaign intimidation, threats and violence by government thugs ... :##:[/LEFT]

What gets me about this is that the army says it's detaining or removing journalists for their protection, but I haven't heard of them doing anything about the thugs. Why haven't people throwing Molotovs been detained -- or better, shot?

You haven't heard? Guns solve all kinds of problems. I'm sure shooting them into an open crowd of people already rioting with violence will make the situation better! What's going on over there isn't bad enough, add more guns!

Watch the news more. The shots I've seen where they're throwing Molotovs, the guys doing the throwing are out in the open.

If the army's been called to keep order, they should do so, not give arsonists and terrorists a pass.

What gets me about this is that the army says it's detaining or removing journalists for their protection, but I haven't heard of them doing anything about the thugs. ...

You describe them as thugs; I suspect the army would describe them as patriots.
