Android phone is a piece of shit

in theory, you should have a notification in the Notification Bar area and a flashing light any time you've missed a call. at least on my phone, the notification stays there until I acknowledge the missed call by swiping it off the notification bar (or you can tap it instead and it will call the person back)

With the S4, and with my android, you have to pull down the menu bar from the top of the screen. If you aren't aware of that step, you may not get to see those notifications.

Yeah, I'll get a notification, but the moment I unlock the phone the notification disappears, and I have to go to the menu to hunt for it, or copy it down. It would make more sense for the notification to remain till dealt with. This is especially annoying when I get through with some work and take a moment to glance at the phone, and discover I have a missed call, a voicemail, and a message (which means text). But instead of being able to tap on each notification and go directly to the item noted, I have to engage multiple "keystrokes" to get to each one. It's a very clumsy, inefficient system.
