Honestly, I thought he was dead.

This is an interesting move. I hope it works.

the measure has been getting more popular and less hated as time goes by. The repubs are really making a mistake in hanging a huge part of their push to regain congressional majority on opposition to it.

heres what the polls now show....
Opposition to the landmark health care overhaul declined over the past month, to 35 percent from 41 percent, according to the latest results of a tracking poll, reported Thursday.

Fifty percent of the public held a favorable view of the law, up slightly from 48 percent a month ago, while 14 percent expressed no opinion about the measure, according to the poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The approval level was the highest for the legislation since it was enacted in March, after a divisive year-long debate. In April, the poll found 46 percent in favor and 40 percent opposed.

THe law became popular as soon as it was enacted and has slowly begun to pick up steam.

This may not help the dems that much, but it wont hurt them either most likely, in the mid term congressionals.

If the trends in the polls continue, it would seem it will be very helpful for the presidents re election bid.

Well, shit.

After all these years my very first thread in CE&P and I get "truncated".

This is off-topic, but do you know Che Guevara and his fellow revolutionaries persecuted gays?

Did you know that the Republican Party persecuted gays?

The Republican Party has sent gays to labor camps and executed others? Did these GOP camps have signs that read "The work will make you men" like in the Cuban camps, a replica of the slogan "The work will make you free" used in the Nazi concentration camps.

No, they found other, less harsh, ways to persecute them.

Oh look....a chicken!!!!

Palemale. Don't feed the.

I guess after his major gaffe in the Rangle thread Laika is looking for diversionary tactics.

Good for him. He's not the first person to use his celebrity for a cause.

And we all knew after the shouting subsided people would actually realize this is a good thing and there are no "death panels" and rationing in health care reform.

it took me a few weeks to figure out their methods of debate... and I still get truncated sometimes...

I think it has to do with liability for the site, and its nothing personal. thats how I looked at it when it happens to me.

I like the thread...btw

It's mostly a good thing if you have stock in medical insurance companies.
