Andy Roddick is not talented like Nadal and Federer

I'm not a big fan of Andy, but lets be honest, if it wasn't for Federer (perhaps the greatest player EVER), he surely would have won more grand slams by now.
He's really not the same as Anna. In all her years, Anna never won a single singles title.
It just sucks for Andy (and everyone else) that Federer came on the scene at about the same time that he (they) did.

After Roddick won his one and only Grand Slam I bet a friend that he would never win another big tournament. He just didnt have the commitment needed for a long career. He likes to party too much. Now he sees his mistakes and has tried to turn things around with Connors as his coach but is it too late? Only time will tell.

Andy will, alas, remain a one-Slam wonder....

You may or may not be right when you say that Andy will remain a one-Slam wonder. But let's not forget, he was the runner up in 3 other Grand Slam finals.....2 Wimbledons and last year's US Open.....beaten by Federer every time might I add. How many other top 10 players have had the chance to be in that many finals? Being runner-up in a Grand Slam may not invite tons of accolades but it's by no means a small feat. Talentless players don't get in 4 Grand Slam finals by sheer luck. Andy may not be as talented as Federer but the way I see it he definitely has something working for him.

Roddick is talented, but not like Rafa or Federer.

. As far as Nadal goes, I'm personally turned off by his level of arrogance in that the guy has his name sewn into his shoes.

I wouldn't say Nadal is arrogant. A lot of players have some quirks, and what young man wouldn't want to have his name sewn into his shoes? Plus he observes his own little codes of conduct, like not throwing raquets, swearing, getting on at line-judges, harassing the umpire, being polite to journalists.

Roddick regularly flouts all of the above because he is arrogant. He feels an entitlement. He is so stupendously sarcastic to journalists, has a real turn off temper. I don't want to turn this into a bash-Roddick post, but when it comes to arrogance I don't think you can compare him and Nadal...

Andy Roddick is classless. Roddick is so rude to opponents, fans, and the media. I don't know why people like him? Roger Federer is the perfect man. Roger is no.1 and he is always kind and nice to the media and fans. Roger is just about perfect in every way. Roger and Rafael have so much class they are so nice, and humble and such wonderful gentlemen. Roger and Rafael never swear on the court, they are too mature for that. One of Roddick's biggest flaws is his immaturity. Rodidck cannot handle pressure and when he gets nervous he explodes. Yet the anger doesn't help Roddick it hurts him.

Did anyone see Novak Djokovic play over the weekend?

That guy is better than all of the above and also has real class.

Okay, so Andy isn't as good as Roger or Rafa, but he's got talent and lots of it. Comparing him to Anna Kournikova really isn't fair. He's a hard worker, she was lazy and unfocused as far as tennis is concerned. He's won 21 singles titles and even one grand slam, she never won a singles tournament. And I think it's important to recognize that Andy has made it to three grand slam finals that he hasn't won. How many other active men's players have done that? Give the guy a break. I enjoy watching him play, because he's got a great game and a great bod.

No doubt in my mind that Andy is talented and deserves to be in the top five pro tennis players :=D: . Not everyone likes his game and he can be a bully, and very arrogant towards lesser opponents and those who cannot answer back. Despite the presence of Jimmy Connors, I think his best years have passed . He's still astonishingly immature for a 24-25 year old. It's a prolonged adolescence that is part of his enduring charm.

Andy Roddick IS a Talented Tennis Player. It doesn't matter if he is number one or number 200, he is a HOT Ass Tennis player. I would do him before even considering doing Roger or Rafa. There are more HOT guys that would come way before those two in my book. Just Keep trying Andy, you are still young and can still achieve more in tennis. I LOVE ANDY RODDICK!!!!!!!!
