Animal Adoption?

Oooh!! I'm SO effing excited!!! Okay, let me start over.

Me and my puppy Martini have been feeling just a little lonely with all the holidays comming up and we decided we wanted to add to our family. So I went online to our local Animal Shelter and I filled out an application to adopt the most adorable puppy I've seen in a LONG time. He has partial vision problems and was found in a BOX on the side of the street. What the hell? Well anyways I really hope I get approved.

His name is Lucas but if I get approved for adoption I'm changing it to Eduardo. It's just sexy.

So say Hello to Eduardo.

How big will he get?

No idea, how big to Terrier's usually get? I'm used to dealing with small dogs. I have two chihuahua's now but Paris is a lazy bitch and Martini is just like me. (Lonely) All I know is I don't care how big he gets or what he looks like in the future I look at this dog and I know he's definitely for me.

edit: Actually, I hope he does get big. I really want something(one) to cuddle with during the chilly nights and these chihuahua's just don't do it. They sleep INSIDE my pillow lol!

You're welcome? lol. I just love the feeling of being able to save someone. Ever since I was little when someone would ask me if I wanted to be a super hero or something I would tell them "No, I want to be a guardian angel" and they all thought I was screwing with them or being sarcastic....uhh, not so much.

I can't wait to be with him.

Congratulations on applying for a new pet! Adoption is always the best way to go and thank you for considering it. He'll be bigger than the chihuahuas in no time, but he won't be a "large" dog. Did the shelter tell you specifically what kind of terrier it is? There's a ton of breed specific info for size, excercise needs, and even temperment (although it is important to remember every animal is different) I'd make a guess for his full grown weight, but I can't make up my mind on him....

Congrats on the new pup. We'll be looking to adopt after the first of the year. Its been 6 months since Princess left and its quite lonely around here. The cats are nice, but not the same as a puppy.

I think going to the local shelter to get a pet is soooo very rewarding for both parties...

I just got goose-bumps thinking about your new family addition...
