Conservative ideologues like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are also dead set against Mc Cain...though they would just rather sit it out than support Mc Cain as Republican nominee.Better blow up the party than elect Mc Cain,who on most issues is pretty standardly conservative but on some does take sharply unorthodox views.My take is if that is how they feel,go right ahead and do the country a favor and marginalize both the discredited neocons and the nutty religious right.Then real realignment can occur that would benefit the country as a whole.

McCain will portray himself as the moderate in a campaign and the Coulter/Limbaugh hostility only furthers that image. Barrack has been moving to the left to solidify his base, so that means another moderate/far left campaign. That is not good for the Dems. It is particulary not good in Florida, Penna., Ohio and a few other critical states.

I think this is a calculated "Divide and Conquer" move by Coulter, hoping to further split the divide between Clinton & Obama.

Hillary needs to publicly reject Coulter's support as soon as possible. She doesn't need that kind of help.

Some Republicans are bad,as some Democrats.Can people be wrong,misguided or way off base without everyone of that philosophy tarred with the label of evil?This is where this forum bugs the hell out of me,forgive the terminology.I disagree with some Republican tenets and some Democratic ones,sometimes very strongly.But we are a nation of DIVERSE political views,and I will not demean someone who believes differently than I do....Ann Coulter to me is a bad person because she is a demagogue,a divider.We can have our differences without personalizing them.When those on the left act like mirror image of the righties they detest,they are acting in a manner that does their perspective no good.

I have grave problems with the slapping of the term "evil" around, whether it is Bush using it to demonize who he does not like, or people using to word to demonize Bush or his party or his party's members, such as my late mother.

I oppose the Republican platform and philosophy with all that i have got but it is not, nor are its members, evil. One of many reasons that I support Obama is that w have to get past the old demonizations of each other.

As well, Ann Coulter is surely worth a whole host of diagnoses from DMS-IV - but evil is not one of them.

Nor for any Republican.

I know damn well I am as always being pedantic as hell, but, that is my calling.

I don't believe that Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, et.al, are political entities at all. They are primarily commercial entities making a very nice living from catering to the irrational beliefs of an audience that finds no succor in reputable media.

The right does not like McCain because he has too often punctured their insular bubble. Coulter and Co. can't support The Heretic without fear of alienating their audience. It's just all showbiz.

I suspect they are tarring the Neocon faction of the Repuglican party when referring to "evil" Repuglicans. If the GOP wishes to survive, and be a voice in American politics they need to ditch the Neocon philosophy and Religious Right involvement in their party to be taken seriously ever again. What they promote is not conservatism, but rather hatred and control. Hence the "evil" designation.

Democrats have shown themselves to be far more "conservative" in their general perceptions of how government should be run and have shown we are more fiscally conservative than the last 3 Repuglican presidents; yet the GOP Neocons continue Democrats as tax and spend. At lest the Dems tax and then spend it for the good of the country something which no Repuglican has ever done. Repuglicans seem to be intent on world domination. Which is not an American ideal. Again hence the "evil" designation.

So get pissed off enough to open your eyes and get with the right party Saucy. The Repuglican party as it stands right now is the American version of Al-Qaida, and therefore "evil."
