Yep, happy as a happy guy! That's me!

Little nipper has a marvellous grip, and surprisingly long fingers and toes. He has hairy ears, and cos' we're far east asians, the hair is black, and shows up even more. He has hairy legs too :lol:

He's a quite content little chap, hasn't much cried since he was born. He has a rooting action - seeking milk, mouth purses up and tongue comes out in the cutest little way possible. He was kinda grey when he first popped out, his fingers and legs remained somewhat grey-ey blue until last night. Today, he's become more rosey all over.

My partner is tierd, and I'm back home getting her something nice to eat, and all those other mundane jobs around the house.

The caesarian went well, she's still in some discomfiture, and the incision was about a foot wide, we both couldn't believe it when the nurse took off the bandage this morning. She's on pain meds, but has been up on her feet three or four times already, so, things are looking up. She and our son will be home either tomorrow or the in a coupla days time, depending on what the doc says.

The oddest moment throughout yesterday's procedure is when the midwife brought along a yellow sack, filled with the blood and placenta and plonked it at the foot of the bed before wheeling it back to the maternity ward. Then, the still warm afterbirth was placed unceremoniously on the side. I went and prodded it a bit, to some admonishment from my better half :eek: :lol:
