Annoying Habits of Jubbers

Activists can be annoying as hell, even those that mean well. Not that it's a big problem on JUB.

Another annoying habit: JUB-marrying me, then disappearing for months on end, and then getting upset when I have you declared legally dead so that I can hold a competition to find my next JUB hubby.

Besides, it's not like the sex was that great.

Your point makes very little sense seeing as though JUB was created by and meant for a primarily gay male audience, and therefore brings in gay men rather than the mixture of say, Facebook, or Youtube.

When you say "annoying habits of JUBbers" you really are saying "the gay men here do the following annoying things."

You did not say "talk to me about the way the internet annoys you." You specifically pinpointed JUB. Therefore, you pinpointed gay men, particularly the ones here, in your little experiment.

That's all a matter of interpretation. I am clarifying it, and correcting your assumption, by stating that I was not pinpointing gay men or JUB. I happen to be using JUB, and JUB happens to consist of mostly gay men, but that does not mean that my complaints were (or are) JUB or gay specific.

One more thing I'd like to point out, the annoying, over the top, bitchy attitudes of many people here, and online, are there because they want attention. And they get it. Because we as people never know when to just let shit go and let them be. So as long as there are people who can't just let it be and let the people screaming loudest just get laryngitis and go away, there will be people who annoy us. I include myself in that. After all, I did participate in this thread, right? ;)

I think you participated constructively, which was the whole point.

Aren't you get tired of your own thread?
Move on the next one and have fun.

Sometimes the really direct and vitriolic posts come from a place of sheer frustration - an incomprehensibility of the way that 'other' people think and encourage others to act. It's not always about gaining attention per se, I don't think. In the world we all live in away from the internet, we have to listen to broadcasts, people on the street and in our places of work, shops gym, all utter the most inane crap about this, that and the other. We don't all get to state our opinions and vent our feelings, and in that respect I feel it's actually healthy for us all to have a place to write in ink of bile. I'm not suggesting that we should all tear ourselves to shreds, but when you can see the logic in another's thoughts, I don't think it's about attention in and of itself, rather about the writer's voice being heard and the writer feeling as though s/he is validly contributing. Clearly I write about myself, but also about many others.

Bringing back threads from several years ago has become a trend as of late... one that I find exceedingly annoying.

The worst thing about JUB is desperate, insecure people who flirt in order to build up armies of acolytes to defend them whenever they disagree with someone in a thread.

It's like junior high school all over again.

I prefer this to re-creating the same one every other week.

Indeed. Why re-invent the wheel every other week? We can learn from the wisdom of those from previous years.

'In my End is my Beginning' (Queen Mary)

'In my beginning is my end' (TS Eliot)

'Their end is our beginning' (JUB)

I unfortunately do not see any end to this. It appears to be a virtue, actually.

Really? I flirt about nice cocks .... :)
But to build up armies? I have to dis-agree. I have zero army.
Actually don't know anyone here.

And about "insecure". What do you mean by that?

Why, dear boy?

I always get my hopes up to see a jubber's name appear whom I liked, only to find that its an old thread that was bumped and they're not back :(

Oh, that would be depressing.
