Annoying, rude, middle-aged women

logic suggests that the customer can't always be right. That is just a silly idea. the customer needs to read the store policies before he purchases and if that responsibility is too much, I cant see why they need to complain.

that is a bit of an unrealistic entitlement expectation in my book as well.

if you are wrong, why should a merchant bear the financial burden of your mistake? I hate bad customer service, but I hate bad customers even more.

just saying...

The customer is usually wrong :p They have become much too spoiled.

AMEN. I am nice to the customers who are nice to me. If they act like a bitch, I act like a bitch.

Reading that story, I could have substituted 2 gay men. I've been in restaurants where 2 guys will act uppidy towards the waitstaff. Having worked in the food industry, I just hope these people aren't as vicious as I would be when bringing them their food. It's not just women, it's men too. As a race, we people are asses.

I agree....whatever happened to humanity and respect?
We are sadly living in a "what can you do for me?" world!

A few months ago me and the hub were eating breakfast at a rather "chi chi" place. And there was an older man eating at the table next to us.....prob early/ mid 50's....anyway he was so rude to the waiter for NO reason at all and then just evidently decided the waiter was below speaking to and resorted to holding his hand up in the air and flicking his wrist when the waiter would ask him something as If saying ...."run along."

I just wanted to stab the pompous ass in the balls with my fork!:grrr:

RUDE PEOPLE.......](*,)

Having been around long enough to know the score, the problem with two women out in a restaurant (where are their husbands?) is that they need to find someone--and it won't be there husbands who are sicked and tired of them--to give them a good poke. We all know that it all finally boils down to sex! And yes, there are great middle-aged women, but there is a percentage of bitches, too.

Personally I just think that people have become much more rude than ever before. In my parents house, as well as anyplace else, we were expected to speak in full sentences, to say please and thank you. We were expected to offer our seats to women and to speak with respect to everyone.

Now, it is not that way all that often.

Society as a whole is become more rude as the world goes faster and people become less interactive with each other.

I blame all this virtual media that we're exposed to. It used to be that most of the people you saw in the course of a day were made of flesh and blood, so you had to treat them accordingly. Now, we're so used to people made of photons that we don't know what to do when we see the real thing.

Remember...there are nice middleaged women too...like MOI!!! ;)

We have to live with idiots...among women and men...Amen...

Absolutely idiots come in all shapes and forms, male, female, gay or straight. Heck my dog is pretty annoying. I am with you Ruby, I like being a middle aged woman....alright sometimes I am a little annoying, ok,ok most of the time,....but I am working on it, I swear.

*fingers crossed behind back*

I have another answer. I'm a baby boomer, and it seems to me that starting with my generation, There Are No Grown-ups Anymore. So nobody feels like they need to act like one.

I came to this conclusion when we all found out that the first boomer president had been getting blowjobs in the Oval Office. If he couldn't set an example of adult behavior, why should we expect anyone else to?

And certainly the second boomer president doesn't act much like a grown-up either. So we're all just a bunch of spoiled kids now.

One more middle aged woman here! I have a sure fire ticket to annoying: it's called a JD. ;)

Annoying and rude people come in all shapes and sizes. Frankly, I tend think that arrogant straight men strike me as the worst ... doesn't the world worship me types ... but I know that's crazy to damn an entire group, and nobody has a monopoly on rude and annoying!

I had some stupid middle age bitch try to tell me I didn't know what I was doing when I had to call in her biz check because it wanted an approval. I called it in and it was declined then she had the nerve to tell me to find someone who knew what they were doing. I told her I know what I'm doing and the check didn't go through. So she said it again so I was an ass back and told her very loudly that "YOUR CHECK WAS DECLINED" there is nothing anyone can do.

I wanted to slap the shit out of her.

I had something similar happen. My favourite is after approval is denied when they say in all seriousness "if you're going to insist on running credit checks on people you're going to lose a lot of business." Apparently the irony is lost on most of them.

Interestingly, I find that annoying women customers are quite catty, but annoying men try to pick a physical fight with you. Or is it just with me?

Umm... my brain is like molasses tonight. What's a JD?

I believe that melody is a lawyer who deals with juvenile offenders

I assumed it was Juvenille Delinquents

I have always found that women (and many men) who were raised by doting parents to believe they were God's gift to the world and better than everyone else usually never grow out of it. The only people I've seen who have changed their attitudes were people who grew up well to do but who hit hard times at some point during their adulthood. That usually takes most of the steam out of their arrogant boiler. I work with a few people who desperately need a good shot of bad times to bring them down a few knotches.

To try to balance the universe today:
1. I held the door open for someone at work.
2. I gave a woman my cart at the grocery store and went back to the parking lot to get one myself.
3. I helped an elderly woman get something off the top shelf in the freezer aisle.
4. I let a guy with just a handful of items cut in front of me so he could checkout faster.
I am pleased to report that each and every single one of these people thanked me.

That's kind of a racist statement if you ask me.

ehhh

notsomuch

its about cultural differences.

i am extremely involved in the civil rights movement. talking about the differences in a culture is not quite the same as racism. civil rights movements do not seek a homogenous culture, they just seek the right to be different.

once again, i think this is about entitlement and arrogance, nothing more

but u are entitled to your opinion
