State Sen. Hansen Clarke staged a stunning upset victory Tuesday night over seven-term Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick.

With 53% of the overall district results in, Clarke had a 48-39% lead over the incumbent, who was first elected to Congress in 1996.

Her son, Kwame Malik Kilpatrick, is in jail for numerous felonies he committed while mayor of Detroit.

The House ethics committee is investigating whether five Democratic lawmakers, including Michigan's Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, received improper gifts in travel to Caribbean conferences 2007 and 2008.

Laika and pixie are a charming couple. I'm sure if we sent them to a place like Iran, they would get why its important to support gay friendly politicians as they swing from a noose, but then....

I don't think that either is gay so they are just cyber attacking a gay site on a regular basis, and I consider that when dealing with them.

No. She was as crooked as they came. I lived in Michigan for 4 years, and part of my family lives here still. She was the reason her son was elected, and she became a laughing stock shortly after that.
