  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Another gay-cure 'therapist' caught trawling for sex.

You said "time and again."

How many by your count does this make?

I'm disgusted by the conversion attempts, but wholly unaware of the incidence of therapists being found to be closeted.

How many?

it's a new year let's leave being argumentative in 2018

^Fab, is that you?................

Not caught trawling for sex....but yet another repressed closet case who likely has done untold damage to other men's lives as a 'therapist', before just coming out and admitting that he wants cock.

David Matheson is the creator of several bogus attempts at ‘curing’ LGBTI people of their sexuality or gender identity.

But, now, he says he’s also now looking to find a male partner.

This is a forum, not a choral clinic.

Specifically, it is Hot Topic, the implication being ideas presented are in contention.

Discussions include indifference, assent, amplification, doubt, rejection, requests for clarification, amusement, pique, endearment, fascination, disbelief, intrigue, contempt, requests for clarification, rebuttal, assonance, resonance, antipathy, endorsement, and scorn, just to name a few.

Being pointlessly argumentative might be something those in debate might agree is a waste. However, my comment underscored that the OP seemed to be making propaganda, the application with a broad brush that "those people" are like this example.

It would be like taking an example of judicial mistreatment of a selected minority in court, and then asserting that it must be happening all minorities in every court all the time. In the former case, we could all agree that the injustice occurred and is reprehensible. In the latter, we'd have to challenge the assertion lest we give credence, if not hysteria, to a claim that isn't proven and that could result in mere anarchy when propagated.

I did and do challenge Rareboy's assertion that the phenomenon is common, and he failed to provide a series of examples to support his assertion. That's a legitimate rebuttal of a statement, sans the deprecatory epithets or insults seen from too many. It is the exchange of ideas based upon a critical analysis of the presented ideas, without requisite biases to rally round the allegation presented.

Or sometimes people just argue because they some some axe they want to sharpen.

But back to topic.....

You should also throat punch the dudes that will date this fucker.

Here's the thing, guys. As I have said many many times in the past, I left catholism many many moons ago when I realized I wasn't going to be accepted as a whole person by the church. For a while, I was going to several churches who claimed to accept someone like me. But then I noticed that these guys were also not accepting. They were just more subtle about it. It was always "god loves you, but... "

I had a friend name James. As gay as a dude could be. Always so vibrant and happy. Then he dumbed his bf and became all jesus freak. He told us he found jesus and that he was now cured and "happy". I asked him if he now liked girls? He said no, but he is abstaining from guys. Yeah...

It is easy, folks. Just leave jesus.

Husband and I are ex christians. And we are a million times more happy not having to deal with that bs anymore.

But back to topic.....

Or because we see dubious posts that present as legitimate and deserve to be challenged in a world where all ideas are not equal, and there actually is truth. If it takes an axe to get a the truth, it takes an axe, which you seem pretty familiar with wielding on many occasions yourself.

And posts about the veracity of OPs are always on topic.

It's quite possible to be gay and Christian, and there are churches which are gay-friendly.
Aristomaniac didn't claim it wasn't possible or that no gay-friendly churches existed.

Though it's pretty toxic that their friend's church lead them to the conclusion that their love for men is sinful.
And I think it's not uncommon for churches meaning to be gay-friendly to have problems justifying the stance through doctrine.
They can find a way, make no mistake, but that doesn't mean some don't struggle too.

He said 'ex-Christian'. It is not unreasonable to deduce that he cannot be gay and Christian. He could easily have found a gay-friendly church than to give up the religion entirely.

If I live in a garage, it does not make me a car. Going to church makes no one a Christian.
If I go to a main line church, I run into fundamentalist dogma. Most of which has little to do with 'love your neighbor' If I go to a liberal church, most of which are gay friendly, I hear the lefts push for open borders. That isn't why I would go to church. If I want to hear the left wing agenda, I simply turn on the evening news.

I'm not sure I understand?

It is unreasonable to deduce that Aristo thinks that no one can be both gay and christian.
It's not unreasonable to conclude that Aristo is not christian and is gay (or bi); being that was explicitly stated.

I'm not inclined to agree that Aristo could have 'easily' found a gay-friendly church. Because demonstrably that isn't the case. They explicitly said they looked for a gay-friendly church. Tried numerous churches that claimed to be gay friendly. Found they had an insidious undercurrent. Possibly left their religion because of that. Possibly it was only a small part. Consider asking Aristo for clarification if you're concerned.

To clarify, I've no doubt that there are plenty of people who make it work between being gay and Christian. To me, it was more convenient and less of a headache to cut the Christian part out of my life completely.

To be clear, I never said a thing about the topic to my husband. He was a hard core Christian when we met. He went to a church that was not accepting at all, so he pretty much stayed in the closet for them. Some time in his 2nd year in college, he stopped trying to find a church that was accepting and didn't have an ulterior motive. He pretty much came to the same conclusion that I did, which was it was less of a headache if he just cut the Christian part out of his life.

We are both very happy. And no, we are not worshipping Satan or drinking baby blood. We just don't pay attention to all the superstitious nonsense anymore.

But if you can make it work, god bless you. I won't go out of my way to stop you from worshipping while sucking a guy off.
