I'm confused as heck.

For those who know me... a while back I had to go hospital for a lengthy time. It was to do with my back. Well, you also know I had a printing company.

(fast forward to now..) Not long (past coupla days) back from hospital, and decided to give the printing company another go. So far so good.. life picking back up.

I joined an internet radio station... because the owner told me I was really good, and they could do with my shows. So... I shut my own station down, and even handed my PRS licence back to the issuing company (no more licence.. yippee!! less hassle!)

So.. there I was happily broadcasting. They said they would help me to get my business back on track too (cue tears of joy). Life couldn't be any better. I was so happy, and felt "Yes"... my life is getting back to normal at last.

Who was I kidding? The owner of the internet radio station went right behind my back and decided to get their own tshirts, etc elsewhere... despite me being cheaper. I had even advertised their station on my business site, and had also printed out a whole range of clothing for them plus mugs, caps etc. Told them about it... and was told they did not want them! Talk about a kick in the teeth.

I'm upset... hurt and just feel like giving up completely. I'm too tired with life to carry on the fight any more. Needless to say I have now left that station.. and am left with nothing but the printing equipment... and some very sour memories.

Thank goodness I have JUB to turn to... without it, I would just completely give up.

Moral of this topic?:
Be careful who you make friends with... you may end up hurt.

Well, I dunno. Maybe they fucked you over royally, or maybe you had expectations that they weren't going to meet. But either way, it's probably best that you parted company.

Milton Keynes? Wowee, always nice to see someone from around here!

Anyway, back on topic. I'm sorry to hear you've been through the mill - but I'd be sorry to see you let it get you down. Sometimes you meet jerks and I know it sucks, but for every bad guy you meet there are two good ones around the corner. (*8*)

Nice start to your reply, Titanic lol.. and thanks ;)

I'll be ok. I've learned in life the best way to overcome something like this is to 'bounce back'. It may take a while, but once I've sorted things out again I'll be fine.

I beat a wheelchair... which the docs said I wouldn't.. and I'll beat this ;)

Did they have an existing contract or prior business dealings with the other firm?

Business is business, after all...

Written contracts are a brilliant thing, but can also scare people off from agreements.

Good luck in your business and hopefully you stay in one piece physically :) you are already more successful in your business than I have been in the past.

Moral of topic. Never totally trust anyone with regards to your best interest. Always take what you can in a business deal but there are no friends. Watch your back and have plan "B" ready because you should expect the other party is watching out for their best interest from the get go. You should expect to be fucked over along the way, even truer if its a on coming established franchise when you are employed/partner. Ride it while you can and make no ripples but maybe when you catch your bearings you will be more seasoned.

Quick update for ya'll...

Have spoken (last nite) to the station owner via Skype. All was very calm, relaxed and friendly (blimey!) and at the moment, I have agreed to keep doin shows on their station.

As for promoting their station, and doin tshirts etc... he wants to telephone me on the landline phone in the morning... so I only hope it's all going to be ok. He would not tell me what the call was about tho.

Note to all: My apologies if you see missing letters in my text. It's not a spelling error... it's me! I originally come from Orlando, Floria (moved over here in the UK many moons ago) and it's just how I talk! lol. It's a long (true) story how I got here.. and not one I am comfortable with.
