Unless the people can get together and actually get enough support for a Constitutional Convention. If that happens and is successful, the Congress has no choice or power to stop it.
We're just two states away from one. When states started calling for one, they were looking for more protection from big government, stronger protections for individual rights, and similar such things. But if the convention happens any time soon, it may turn the U.S. into a leftist paradise where it's "We, the sheeple..."
Well I can understand your bias but I still think they need to have some common sense with the rest of the bailouts they hand out. Otherwise there is no point in doing it because the businesses will ultimately fail.
Basic Business 101. Most businesses fail to make paradigm shifts that are necessary to last. We are essentially forcing those changes.
We may be forcing changes, but the bailout was pretty wimpy about it for the financials and is looking even wimpier for the automakers.
