The Rev. Grant Storms, the Christian fundamentalist known for his bullhorn protests of the Southern Decadence festival in the French Quarter, was arrested on a charge of masturbating at a Metairie park Friday afternoon.

Religion itself isn't bad. It's how those who believe in that religion takes it's meaning the wrong way or even worst see their religion as law. Having faith isn't evil, it's the behavior of the person studying/believing that can make it seem bad.

The pastor gave a press conference in which he admitted that he had his hands in his pants while slumped down in his car after having watched pornography. He says he wasn't masturbating, but refuses to say why he had his hands in his pants. By the way, the women's statements are not hearsay. Should they testify in court, they would be giving direct testimony about an event they witnessed. Hearsay is testimony regarding an out of court statement offered for the truth of the matter asserted. It would be hearsay if the women testified in court that another person told them the pastor was masturbating.
