I honestly think it is the generated by the gay porn industry which promotes the concept of gay4pay etc. Are there straight guys that will have sex on camera for money? Probably. Most of the guys on the sites that promote this as their main focus look like a pretty randy bunch of guys. When you factor in the news which circulates around these guys, such as the suicides, murders and all sorts of criminality, you see what kind of guys these really are if indeed they are straight. The only statistic that I've seen that makes any sense is that about 10% of performers in male gay porn are straight. I have read articles too that state this statistic is falsely inflated because a lot of guys say they are straight either because of contractual agreements or some perception of gay being less desirable to the gay men viewing the images.

When I was young I bought into this idea myself. I've often thought about why I put myself through that. The only thing I can come up with is that somehow I thought I'd be less gay if I "did" a straight guy.
