Gay car guys? HOT!!!

About two years ago I got the chance to buy what I consider the perfect modern American car; a 2009 Pontiac G8. Big V8 and RWD, and can seat five. It's got a 6.0L and makes 360hp and 385ft-lbs (on regular!). Funny thing is that it's built in Australia. I added a cold air intake, axleback exhaust, and a few interior upgrades like a hard wired radar detector, backup camera, MP3 player integration, and a gauge pack. I plan on putting on a tune and upgrading the sway bars this summer. I think I'm in love with the car - I spent about 4 hours this past Saturday (beautiful outside) washing and waxing. Some pics are attached.

I like cars.

I'd love to have a pristine 1983 VW GTI. The original "pocket rocket". They're probably kinda slow by today's standards, but in the early 80s they were really zippy in comparison.

I had this exact car in college, it was an '84 actually, but it looked just like this. It was a little hot rod at the time but yes it's probably slower than a modern Honda Civic. Switched to BMWs a few years ago (Yea, yea, call me whatever you want) and I'm addicted.

Yeah you could say I’m a dyed in the wool automotive enthusiast..

I worked as a tech for years before moving on to the aviation industry. I’m a BMW owner, I have a 2002 and a M3. If it has anything to do with cars from racing to car shows and everything else in between I’m a big fan.

I had an Elise years ago. I loved the thing. A little rough on the roads, but it was a tin can with a rocket engine. Small displacement, though, but the car didn't weigh much.

It was bright yellow with just a hint of orange. It said "look at me I have a small penis," And I'll be the first to admit, I was compensating. ..|

Hummers say small dick. Lambos say small dick. Zondas say small dick. Lotuses say "Look at me, I'm small, light and agile, I definitely do not have a small dick".

Then what does a regular SUV say? Preferably a Suzuki XL-7 [first gen] :(

...looks into buying a humvee... ;)

Well Liam at least you know your short comings ( sorry couldn't resist lol)

I would hope that driving a Camry doesn't equate to an average sized penis, at least make it an Accord or something. :D

I-indeed-used to LOVE Honda/Acura, now though; not so much. I suppose my reason is that their cars have gotten their styling to be hit or miss, and not to mention that they are reluctant to update their transmissions. Yes, I get that the 5 speed auto is sufficient, and that the shifts are quick, precise, and smooth, but adding another cog AND MANUAL MODE would be more than welcome. As for Acura, I honestly don't understand what is happening over there. They give us a TSX Wagon which is larger, and heavier, but they only give us the 4 cyl. engine while the smaller and lighter sedan gets the V6. I'd also like to know what is up with the "power plenum" grille? The only vehicle in the lineup that can pull it off is the MDX, but that's only because the previous grille was a disaster.

Although the main selling point for Hondas and Acuras is the fact that you can always depend on them and they are just built so well, even here in the states [unlike Toyota].

I agree that Honda and Acura have had some lapses in judgment when it comes to some of their styling choices but I think they are catching on, hence the 2012 TL that was released early simply to "fix" the "power plenum" nose. They've also finally added a 6 speed auto to the TL and I feel that in the next year or two the 6 speed will trickle down to their other models.

Honda was always considered a leader and offered cutting edge technology and performance. And though in recent years their top dog status has waned, I believe that they will once again emerge as a leader in the automotive world. And despite what their cars look like, as you mentioned earlier their reliability records speak for themselves. I'm still a fan of their vehicles and am a very loyal customer of theirs.
