this is one of my cats.... sasha :D

I just got a new cat 3 days ago and she is settleing in to my house at the moment, its not a good day for her today though I am afraid, as she is off to get the female chop, so I hope she will be ok, and will still want to live with me after the event! Rather her than me! But essecial as I don't want any cute baby kittys running around in afew months!

my bf has two cats. i am not really a cats-person though. and i often have the impression that they are learn-resistant.
i bring them some food, hold it in my hand, moving the hand down and am almost at their level - dang they slap their claws in my hand to be the first to get the food.
i move the hand back up, yell at both, they sit still and look cute at me. i again try to give them the food and they claw me again :grrr:
plus the other one is totally envious, when i sleep there, he always jumps on the bed and sleeps over my feet so i can hardly turn around at night. when my bf is alone he looks for a "free" place.

i guess the cat jumps on your legs and sleeps there cos he likes you and not cos he is jealous!see, mine dose the same thing often.and to my brother too and he is a bit heavy and we cant move either.

Our tabby Fudge just turned 17. We got her just after I turned 13 back in 1989.

She is also starting to slow down a bit, but we keep her young with bits of string and a small bouncy ball. Her favourite toys are those fuzzy pipe-cleaners, so we have a couple of those to throw around. She is particularly fond of chasing the stream of water that flows from the hosepipe as you water the lawn and thus is frequently damp in summer.

She agrees to let us share her beds and chairs throughout the house, and allows us to feed her when she's hungry and open the door for her when she can't be arsed to climb through a window.

Hi, I have always enjoyed cat company but it is hard to lose them so right now am going it alone.......both were unique in so many ways and so alike in alot of ways also......both were people cats and would be there right with you following around and interacting with you.........the last one was an early riser and if you didn't get up when he was wanting you to he would take measures in his own paws and do certain things to get you out of bed starting with kisses and licking yur face, then moving on to walking all over you and finally if that didn't do the trick would start pushing things off the night stand............not sure how long I can hold out but lately have been doing alot of traveling so that is not a good environement for a cat to be alone so much so maybe later when I dont travel so much will be a good time to get another pal..........it's obvious that you enjoy yur cat and thanks for starting this thread..........have a friend with a black cat named shadow.........oh, one last comment, it was fun to take my cats to nursing homes and see the joy in the residents there to hold a cat, you could just see their faces light up...........

I had a calico cat named Katrina. She loved my Mother's fried chicken and would hardly eat anything else. We purchased cat food, but she would hardly touch it. When Mom fried chicken, she'd almost jump on the table to get at it. She also learned to knock on the door when she wanted to be let in the house.

She had two litters of Kittens that we gave away to friends and family. I'm seriously thinking about getting another Cat.

You should feel honored. Cats don't trust everyone. When a cat sleeps around you that means he feels safe and secure around you. When my cat curls up like a ball on my side or around my legs and falls asleep, I know that's how I'm gonna have to sleep for the rest of the night.

I'm not so much of a "cat lover" -- more like a "cat roommate".

I mean, mini-bone was cute and all when he were a kitten, but now he's just this big hulking thing that needs to be fed twice a day.

I can't even sit down in my favorite vibrating chair without he comes and jumps on my lap, wanting to be petted and all that shit.

And he don't do a lick of work. The mice and roaches and so forth just laugh at him.

Phooey -- I'd almost rather have a human.

I have a cat that was given to me by a friend of mine. He's only 6 months old and he's completely insane. He hides and pounces out at me like a ninja. He also attacks anything dangly, so I've learned to be more careful walking around naked.

exactly the same was happening to me when i got my cat.he was 3 weeks old and was running all the time.he was black and my carpet was blck to so once my brother steped on him!but nothing bad happened thank god!

Don't worry when he turns 2 years old...he'll settle down!

I have three cats. One male who is a smoky grey colour, I call him "Smoke" because of the Mortal Kombat Video Game. He reminds me of smoke...attacks and then vanishes! :)

the other two are females, ODO is a calico cat, she's called odo because of Star Trek Deep Space Nine and the shapeshifter alien. Well she doesn't shapeshift, she does have personality problems! :)

My last one is a pure black female cat I was going to call her Elivra.....but my mom said no that's a stupid name and suggested Cher instead.

Oh just to point out...I don't own cats. The cats have me as a pet. They are slave drivers. Demand me to change there litter box and buy them food and water and "allow" me to sleep in my bed.
