Recently got a rapid HIV test (Neg!) and the counsellor had some sample female condoms. I think these are a great idea, but i've actually heard a lot of negative reviews about them so far: they crinkle loudly during sex, they don't feel very good for either partner and they can be difficult to insert.

I was shocked and disappointed to learn that people didn't like them so much. . .if they can improve them, I think the penile condom will be obsolete.

I've used them and love them. Can be a bit tricky to put it in myself, there is an o-ring that is flexible that keeps it inside you, and I squeeze that to make it smaller to get it inside. Once inside it feels a bit weird with the ring, but i love that I don't have to worry about any embarrassing messiness. My partner likes them, too, just needs to lube up the inside and go crazy on me.
