Any fans of Asian-oriented music?

Are you talking traditional Asian music, or that newish Techno stuff?

I'm a big fan o-

You realize Asian-oriented is a major misnomer when you put it into the terms you just described.

Do you mean, traditional music from those Asian nations, or just general shit sung in their native language? To me, that's two separate conversations.

?

I'll wait until the OP has answered Jy's question before I finish off what I was about to write.

"Doesn't have to be traditional." Kept it general to make this thread versatile with whatever separate conversations there may be, since there aren't a lot of mention about Asia's music in this forum period.

To fancy you and others though, I listen to particularly Japanese rock and Korean pop.

Aah kpop, I've got a friend who don't listen to anything else but that genre of music.

I'm a fan of Filipino music, only because I'm a die hard fan of their tele novellas.

Oh that's cool. I've personally never listened to Filipino music, except for Filipino artists in the U.S. For Korean music, I'm actually more into their soul and RnB scene.

My twin is the same way, except it's j-pop, j-rock, and occasionally(as PAINFUL AS IT IS), j-rap.

Me? I like Onmyouza. They're metal. ..|
I also like various rock/power metal soundtracks from video games, most notably Guilty Gear.

Nice. I'm heavily in the J-rock scene, though starting to slowly get back into the English-speaking world. What other bands besides Onmyouza do you like?

For me, I listen to mostly hard stuff, but appreciate other orchestrated and genres as well. My favorite band is SID.

I am a fan of Super Junior... and I really love them and they look like gays...:-)

i listen to jpop, kpop, lots of music from the j and k dramas that i watch. also opm(original pinoy music). not that into the filipino teleserya, but my parents, cousins and even my 9 year old nephew love them.

For anyone who is interested, this is Kagrra,. They're a band that is famous for infusing traditional Japanese instrumentals and elements of folk music into rock.

I am a HUGE fan of K-pop, especially 2PM (:luv:), SNSD, Super Junior, Big Bang, DBSK.

Used to be HUGE into Jpop... but now not so much. I really stick to a few main artists and ignore the rest.

I stay current on Shiina Ringo, MISIA, Onitsuka Chihiro, Hirai Ken (is he gay or what?), Amuro Namie, and m-flo.
