There's got to be some gay engineers surfing this board. And do any of you engineers date an engineer?

information technology here .. well .. i am working on i t ;)

Aerospace engineer here - planes, jet engines, missles, rockets...not exactly your stereotypical gay man's job but who wants to live up to a stereotype anyway!

Mechanical Engineering student here. One more semester to go!

I know two other gay engineering students here, and have the hots for one of them (but he's in a relationship....doh!).

Electronic design and software engineer here. :)

My partner works in a shop.

Do any of you engineers know any gay engineers at work or at school?

Engineer here, dear. Of software and computers.

Yes, I know other gay engineers at work. There's always been one or two, at least, at every company where I've worked (mostly startups).

Now that I'm at a Fortune 100, there are lots (though not many at my site), and many of the members of my company's gay employee network are engineers. One is the company liason to Out And Equal.

It's not really a gay field, but I do my best to liven it up by singing "I Feel Pretty" in the lab at every opportunity. :D

Why do you ask?

I'm a software engineer and there are tons of other gay and lesbian people where I work. Actually, I'm not sure there are any more than at most places, but my company is very supportive of its gay employees both in policy and practice which seems to translate into more people feeling comfortable with being out at work there.
