I am constantly repulsed by most sites out there, and the type of meat market they usually turn out to be. I am however deeply infatuated with Grindr, as I've met a ton of cool people, some of which I have become actual friends with.

interesting take - prob not the "norm"

I did a stint on grindr when I was single (currently dating)

I had heard all the noise about it being just being for sex - I'd see guys (still do) checking their grindr as they waited for a drink at the bar - or even as they sat in a bar - instead of actually trying to meet people in the bar

anyway .....

I like you found a couple "friends" on grindr

I guess the moral of the story is it's not where but who

and if you have good antenna (i do) u end up connecting with likeminded

BUT

i think the default for grindr is it's NOT for dating

Actually the default for grindr is "anything". It's for "socializing". The fields you fill do touch upon you being single or not, but everything else is just random data. It is not geared to either dating OR sex. Of course, guys use it mostly to hook up, but the fact is that because it isn't directed in any one way, it is the most diverse environment. Everyone with an access to that app uses it or has used it at some point.

I've had my share of experiences on almost every gay dating site. Personally I'd rather not be apart of any of them because it does nothing for my social life, other than force me to rely on virtual interaction for attention.

My advice, go out and meet people.

I have heard match.com is a decent site.

I like occupid the best. I met my exboyfriend on their and we were together for 2 years. I also met my current boyfriend on there. Huge success rate for me.

this is true, I think a lot of people rely on technology facebook, texting, some people don't even like to talk on the phone anymore! and go to public places, see how many peoples faces are glued to their phones. We've become robots and slaves to technology.

So yeah go out and meet people, better way to connect ..|
